This image features the logo of the Order of the Russian Star. So yeah, this is undoubtedly a teaser for Vanquish.
Since SEGA has recently released Bayonet
lol
Seems my Platinum binge will continue. 80 hours on Bayo PC. Beat Bayo 2 twice over the past few days. Balls deep in TW101 right now. And now Vanquish on the way sooner than expected.
I mean, I'm not complaining lol.

I own these games on WiiU but still... Bayo 2 and TW101 need to come to PC :P
Their last Bayonetta tease wasn't a sequel (sadly), just Bayonetta on Steam; here, I bet it's probably Vanquish on Steam. Though, it would be cool if they signed off on allowing Vanquish to be released on XB1's BC library too, and it would be extra-awesome if Sega gave us Binary Domain too.

Binary Domain already came for PC.

I mean via XB1's Xbox 360 library, I'd like both Vanquish and Binary Domain.

Ah, okay. I misread BC as PC for some reason.
Of all the games that need a rerelease for modern audiences it's Vanquish. It's a severely underrated masterpiece of a TPS that deserves more love from more people.
lol

While it would be ideal, highly unlikely barring Nintendo actually releasing their own games on PC. Plus I think The Wonderful 101 might be harder to pull off, 360 pad is as simple as plug shit in, bam, you good to go. I wouldn't imagine a WiiU pad to PC is that simple, and that's pretty fundamental to a lot of gameplay sequences in that game.
But oh my god both of those games with their framerate at a real 60 frames, and not a console 60 frames *drools*.
Hopefully vanquish on pc
If it happened with Bayonetta, then it's almost guaranteed to happen with Vanquish.
As I said about it going BC on Xbox, it is a day one even if it is on steam. I love that game.

Yeah I'd like PC versions for preservation and of course brute forcing games into a more acceptable resolution and framerate.
I know Wii and Wii U pro controllers can be hooked up pretty easily to PC, they have a bluetooth connection so they can be hooked up via bluetooth.
But unlike say Playstation 4 and Xbox controllers there is no interface for them on PC, so in other words: all the buttons would be interpreted in a weird way, unless there is software to interpret them for you.
Dunno if someone ever hooked up the gamepad, but it also uses a Bluetooth connection.
Sega's such a shitty company since sega merged with sammy.
Too many good franchises on the backburner not even being used instead wanna release garbage and do cheap ass ports.
Dayum!

On hard mode, yeah. Climax mode? lololololol

Yeah, both are slim chances, but I could see Bayo 2 possibly happening. It's a long shot, and they'd have to remove/rework some Nintendo brand assets for a PC version. But it could happen. Of course none of us know the details of the deal between Platinum/Nintendo/Sega, but maybe. Thing is, Nintendo might want to port Bayo 2 to the Switch (which I'd also be ok with), but damn that'd make a PC version even less likely.
So yeah, the only real obstacle for Bayo 2 is business.
But like Champ was saying, TW101 is almost definitely not gonna happen.
On the one hand, it's just not as popular as something like Bayo (which is already pretty damn niche as is). It'd be a lot of effort for what would likely be little pay off.
I think some of the WiiU pad specific sections could be re-worked to not be an issue. And the drawing mechanic works fine with the analog stick (though a lot of the best players swear up and down you need the pad to pull off the best combos). But it really is one of those situations where the game was designed around the WiiU from the ground up. Not just tacked on features, but stuff that's truly integral to playing the game.
Still, I'd gladly take both on PC if they were willing, but I'm not holding my breath.
Let's hope it has some solid KB/M controls.
Vanquish at 1080/60 with KB/M would be a dream to play.
Did you try Bayo with KB/M? They seem to be putting in some decent effort into the ports, so hopefully they're good to go.
Bayonetta with a keyboard and mouse...
Dude, just get a controller.
Right, why the **** are they not releasing these on PS4?
I was wondering the same, you'd think it'd be nothing to just port them to PS4/Xbone. I suppose there's a chance they will, but it seems odd that they're showing PC love out of nowhere (not complaining though).

Maybe they were thinking of the sales legs on Steam being more worth it? Because honestly I wouldn't see a Bayonetta remaster making all that much money on console.
Sega is tapping in to cult status. Not a bad idea for a re release at all. Now get on with Shining Force IV.

Yeah probably, it's not like these games did too well on the PS360 to begin with. And maybe they're assuming that a lot of the PC crowd didn't have those consoles, so plenty of new potential buyers.
But it seemed like they were pretty happy about the game cracking 100k on Steam its first week. You'd think they could easily hit similar numbers on the PS4 at $20 a pop.

Nah, the novelty is higher on PC and PC players have picked up a rather good habit of favoring gameplay centric console games since Dark Souls came to PC. So the legs on them type of games are much bulkier there. Where Bayonetta might hit 200k on PS4, on Steam it'l probably do 1 million plus. So I suppose I understand why there's a priority for a PC port.
Even so though, a PS4 version of these games would be pretty excellent, 1080p 60fps most likely as well.
Sega themselves havent made a truly fun game since merging with sammy.
Kinda like how Ebgames turned to shit after merging with gamestop.
Both were higher tier companies and sold out to inferior companies fucking lamest shit ever.

Off the top of my head, I can think of Yakuza, Binary Domain, Valkyria Chronicles, Total War, and Sonic Generations.
There are also fun Sega arcade games rarely seen outside of Japan:

Btw, Vanquish has been confirmed by Sega on PC
yeah , we know , I forgot to update the thread
Always wanted to try out Vanquish. It's the one Platinum game that I haven't played yet. It will be something for me to do on my summer break besides replaying Bayonetta on PC.
