do you think sega should jump back in the race in2010 with a new home consel

nonivet14I agree, unless they bring more stuff to the table along the lines of F-Zero and Condemned. I would like to see how Nights turns out.
If Sega could afford to make another console, then they would have never dropped out in the 1st place & we may have been playing the dreamcast 2 (oh wait, some poor saps already are, I believe they call them lemmings on here).Â
Sad fact is Sega's once great franchises now completely sukk.....Sonics have been joke ever since 3d, Shenmue was crap & was one of the bigger flops they had that cost them hugely to develop for massive losses due to the fact it was a half ass attempt of a game & too ambitious for the developers limited talents at the time. Then we have their p!ss weak console daytonas & remakes like Altered Beast. Â
Sega have lost it, & I loved their genesis & master system years with games like Sonic, golden axe, streets of rage & others.Â
Â
Because I thought DC was the very best for it's time; I'm not sure if someone before me who said the 360 is the DC2 was complimenting or degridating the so called lemmings?
One thing is certain, Sega was NO MS !! if Sega would have been more agreeable to a bigger partnership ( much more than windows CE on DC ) and accepted MS offers; we would indeed be player a stellar system made by MS/Sega and having a game library second to none !!
It was b/c of the Sony, "N" fanboys that did not support Sega and the DC which was by all accounts offering things in 2000 that the afermentioned are strugling to cope with to this day !
Todays 360 could be called the futhering of what Sega started with DC but believe you me ( LOL ) MS can not be ran from the table ( $$$$$$$$$$ ) the way Sega had to fold ! ;)

Your 2c fails, the reason the Dreamcast was not supported was because of their own stupidity. They over spent on that over ambitious piece of crap Shenmue. It was just a wonder round & look game, with poorly executed & tacked on feeling minigames. The game cost them megabucks & ended up not selling, because it was a game that went for everything, yet offered nothing & was ultmately boring as bat sh!t.     Instead of Sega sticking to what they knew & what sell SIMPLE FUN, GAMEPLAY HEAVY GAMES, the dropped the ball on several occassions leading up to Shenmues production, & moreso after it. Â
This & production costs of the failed Saturn before it, already had Sega weak in the knees, & with little to non-existant marketing for their newly released Dreamcast..It had no chance with casuals....And hardcore gamers like me, from previous burnings, knew when it was time to sell it & go to PS2, as soon as it released in Australia, as Sega were doing nothing to save themselves & instill confidence in it's more adept customers. Â
Dreamcast, at the same stage of it's life as Xbox360 is now, buried the 360 in the way of top quality games.  Soul Calibre buried the whole 360 library, not to mention powerstone, quake & others.

Its hard to take you seriously when you bash the 360 on a daily basis. I think both systems are great for their time, and I think just like back then, so are all the consoles on the market. Its only getting tighter and tighter this generation, so I guess we'll see more fanboys like you trying to knock a system.
Playing all three is much better, and allows you to have the title gamer alot easier.

You cannot post intelligently because there simply is no intelligent response to my post. I am right, it is not an opinion. Sega offed themselves. You boys call me out as the fanboy, when 2 sentences along in your posts you claim that Sony's fanboys were responsible for Sega's hardware failings????
Sega did not advertise well, if at all.  They were hopeless & did not evolve after the 16bit era. Things like the Gamegear, Megacd ad on & such were small chinks in a ever growing out of touch company. Â
Nintendo & Sega were happy to plod along & stay stagnant in their catridge heydays, they were not ready for what almost everybody else wanted & knew would happen....CHANGE......Anyone who thought/or hoped this industry would never change & go forward like it has, is obviously a 42yr old, living in mommies basement with a mario shirt on & a streets of rage bandanna atop their sweaty head.
Nintendo lived because they are smart & had un-rivalled luck with pokeyamum & GB.Â
Simply as that....Next time your 2c comes in, back it up with facts of some vague description. I don't mind opinions, when they at least have reason other than fanboyism like "ohh, the mindless, casual, sonyfan cows killed Sega".  Although they were not your words, thats how they seemed implied.  I know all your friends at school think it's "KOOL" to bash Sony for their past attrocities, like starting the Iraq war.........But try using your own head & opinions in a constructive manner people.
I have owned the Dreamcast & had 2 360's, I have no reason to hate them.......But as owners of both & all PS & nintendo consoles (except Wii), I have the right to have a preference, as they are based off REAL LIFE experience.   So far for past 2 gens I have preffered Sony's games & controllers (not console).  In 16bit era I preferred nintendo over sega for exact same 2 reasons.
So far PS3 has my vote this gen......But thats not my problem, I am adaptable...It's up to MS or Nintendo to give me reasons......no, to force me to want/need what their console has to offer. And so far 1 over rated (but still GOOD) game in Gears fails to hit all the genres that Sony did from PS1 to PS2. Â
It's up to MS & Nintendo to break the "Shooters only" & "kiddie only", if they want my money. Â
Sega on the other hand, should get their software up to a quality that passes, before even having a remote chance of a hardware comeback.
