I can't see why anyone would buy a PS3 this year.
Maybe next year. Mybe if the cut the price to 200 usd. Yeah thats what it is worth.
well.... do you need that money bad?Magical_DonutsMoney is not an issue, it's just...none of the games out right now really grab me. I just had the sudden impulse to get it anyway for some reason.
Ahh, no, what have I done?! I just broke down and ordered one of those P$3s from Amazon.com. Agh! I've been possessed... I don't think it'stoo late to cancel. Should I?LinkChicky
if you have an hdtv, then its a good keep. if you want lair, ninja gaiden, warhawk, ut3 with mods, haze, heavenly sword, uncharted, and multiplats like assassins creed, including free online.. then frankly keep it cuz these are the games coming out this year. 08 is going to be more amazing then end of 07 though. with games like mgs4, ff13, and killzone. keep it my good friend ( =

trust me man, i felt the same. the drought is officially over so dont worry about the games.
it's your money. just fyi they have apparently fixed some crucial elements the the BR player and are discontinuing the emotion engine chip inside and going for software in the future. im not sure if you really care about something like that, but i know that i wouldn't want to throw down 500 bones when they fixed some bugs and are reworking the BC setup for future models. just my 2 cents, it probably won't matter though in the end.NickG1215
actually no. the bc is now going to be software emulation. right now the 60 gig is using the emotion engine which is nearly 100percent compatible with your ps2 and ps1 library. so no. any bugs are updated through the firmware updates.

there are still games that have been left out which will still have to be done with the software emulation from the ground up for the 60gb modelsplus, won't they have to make software emulation titles available for when the ps3 80gb model launches as well? since they are going to get rid of the emotion engine chips in the ps3 then everything will have to be redone and ready for consumers who purchase the 80gb model.
