Sell my ps3 for a 360?

Ok so at the moment the ps3 is boring me i dont use it. I had a 360 a few years back and i simply loved the online features it was so well organized and clean, listening to music while playing, invite friends in chat rooms while playing, almost everyone has a mic, the online is just better on the 360 then the ps3. And i prefer the achievement system over the trophy system but then there is the games..

Ps3 has a stronger line of exclusives and final fantasy versus 13 is coming out next year which i know will be one of the best games of 2012 the rest i dont ccare so much about since gta V, bioshock infinite and mass effect 3 all are on both.

But i prefer playing multiplatform games on the 360 because of 3 simple things: the game runs smoother, achievement>trophy and better online service.

Yeah i can buy a 360 and keep my ps3 aswell but 2 systems...meh.. seemse kinda wasted im a one system guy.

One of my all time favorite games mass effect 1 is also on the 360.

And then theres fifa 12 which has online issues on the ps3 i cant play ultimate team on it, and skyrim is just broken... WHAT TO DO???

add a 360 to play anything you have not yet played and for multiplats and keep the ps3.

Sell your PS3 and get a PC. With that you get better/more online features. Games that run at least twice as well as console games, and much better deals on games. PLus the trophy/achievement system is completely superficial and should not even be a determining factor

over the years i bet i have gotten hundreds of extra hours out of all the games games that i would have just forgotten about after beating the main things in the game.

so yeah, it's amazingly dumb i agree but also suprisingly fun if you have guys in rl to compete with.

Sell PS3.. add a few more bucks and buy a gaming pc.

Well that's entirely up to you, no one should make this decision for you. But if you want my advice I would say keep the PS3 but save up for a 360. Then you can play all the games that you want to across consoles, also you would have to rebuy all your multiplats on the 360 if you sold your PS3, and trust me you will NOT see a damn bit of difference between them, there hardly different from each other.

Keep the PS3, you'll find out soon after that it wasn't worth it.

What should really matter is friends and achievements, that is the hook I know people that won't ever leave Xbox/LIVE, due to the huge amounts of work they put into achievements. It's a braggin rights of sort and like poster mentioned it is fun to have. The way LIVE was set up from the ground up is genius for MS, people put a lot of time into their I.D./account and nobody wants just let it go, and they will be back to it for the next Xbox.

FF13vs will probably be the worst game of 2012, FF13 was terrible

I would definatly buy a 360 for Witcher 2 and the best Skyrim version on consoles

if your not feeling like your getting the bang for your buck, sell it

if you liked your 360 so much, why'd you get rid of it for a ps3?

and for the money you'd get selling the ps3, you're probably better off just keeping it and saving up for the 360

I often wondered if people are serious or just plain clueless when they ask SW about console switching questions, given that losing a couple hundred dollars in the transactions is all but guaranteed.

So you want a 360 to play multiplatform games because they are smoother and you prefer achievements? I guess the .00001% improvement the 360 version has over the PS3 version is that big a deal for some games (ignoring the ones that are better on PS3)? And I guess achievements are that much different then trophies even though they are literally the exact same in purpose and value?

Honestly, if you want a 360, get a 360, but if you're interested in multiplats and PS3 exclusives anyways then its just a waste of money.

Its up to you, I would say if you have many friends on the 360 then buy the 360, nuff said.

I used to do that with my PSN friends as well but we realized that it didn't come down to who was the best at the game but to who had the most extra time to do all the BS item collecting. After we all did the 1001 light seeds in Prince of Persia we kind of lost interest. I got a few more platinums after that for games that I really like but I haven't made the effort to get a platinum trophy since August of last year. I'm very close to getting the Dark Souls platinum but the items I'm missing require tos of farming and they aren't even good so I'll probably just skip them.

I only like achievements that reward you for doing stuff related to the game such as doing all the side quests in Fallout 3. I would have never found some of those quests if it weren't for the trophies

"and final fantasy versus 13 is coming out next year" - No it isn't. Here is my upgrade list. PC > PS3 > Wii = 360. I would NEVER trade in a PS3, in its current age, for an Xbox 360. I would trade a Xbox 360 for a PS3, in our current year. Only sell your PS3 if you are going to jump into the PC Gaming boat, if not then NOOOOO.ShadowDeathX

Skyrim is almost unplayable and looks much worst on PS3, that is not 0.00001% worst, it is 99% worst on PS3

Makes little difference, the game will be terrible like all games Square has made the last few years, since FF12 days

What i have seen so far is far from impressive too, seems more like a MMO which is really what i hate most about the new generic direction FF has taken with FF12

Square should make a real FF and not a monster hunter copy

You do realize that the majority of 360 exclusive games are now Kinect focused now right? that's another $150 investment on top of what you would have to pay for the 360. don't forgetXBL membership required to play games online another $60 a year.

Hmm, knock your self out, but I don't think selling you PS3 will go very far in your 360 investment.

360 Black Friday package was next to nothing, but it is still pretty cheap. I have both and it's pretty awesome.
