after a few month's of complete bordom i have decided to sell my ps3 and get an xbox 360. I dont really need to say why im changing over, tbh the xbox 360 price range and quality of games, msn! and xbox live arcade swing me over. Dont get me wrong but i can see the ps3 in the future sometime actually getting titles that showcase the system to its fullest. scott_nffc

forget a 360 get an elite for a ps3 before the price drops on the ps3.

if you got it at lanuch, you shouldve sold it on ebay, get $$, and then buy both of the consoles.

or you can buy the ps3 later when there are games for it

i personally think you should keep your ps3 and save up your money to buy a 360. this way you wont be losing money if you end up rebuying the ps3 in the future(you dont get much for selling your console on game stores evenw ith credit). you should make a list of current and upcoming games on each console that you want to play maybe that can help making your decision. if you strongly feel about getting rid of your ps3 by all means go ahead.

for me i barely use my ps3 there arent any games out that i havent already played on another console or want to play. only time i use my ps3 is playing certain ps2 games i missed out on over the years.

yep and il be honest with you all, i really tried to like it but the lack of content on the PSN store combined with a lack of games just put me off. You gotta say to yourself whats the Ps3 got that the xbox 360 aint. At this point in time i cannot say and im sure others cant either.scott_nffc

yeah i know what you mean mate. iv had an email from a potential buyer he offered me £520 for it but he wanted it delivered to west africa lol. im not bothering with that it sounds a scam to me. all the money that will go on air mail.

Nah mate i dont know the trade in value, all i know is im selling it on ebay lol. Elites are not available for purchase in UK so im going to pay £270 for the premium package with gears of war free.

There aren't alot of good games for any of this new stuff. Sure Isn't like the NES/SNES days. Back then almost every game u played was fun.

Have a look on ebay site sellingps3's they seem to be selling pretty well. if the console sells for the price im asking for im looking at an overall loss of about £50 but still what can you expect for second hand. 2 month old id say

this is what i'd do. its not about the power of the console its about the games.

Quit bashing on this guy! If he wants to sell his PS3 then let him. He Imo has good reason to do so right now. At this point there are exactly (2) exclusive titles on the PS3 that are maybe worth keeping the machine for...RFoM and Motorstorm. If he's already played those out, then where is the incentive to keep the machine? BluRay movies can only hold your attention for so long. Meanwhile he can get a 360 and can play Gears of War, Forza 2, Shadowrun, GRAW 2, Lost Planet and Dead Rising just to name a few. Throw in the greatness that is XBL whicheven at $50 a year is far and away superior to PSN now and the forseeable future. Now looking at exclusive releases for the rest of 2007 and early 2008 the 360 has.....(and dont give me the "I can get alot of those 360 games on PC bullcrap". Unless you have an UBER gaming rig, those games will look and play likecrap on a PC)

Halo 3, Mass Effect, Too Human, PGR 4, Overlord, Splinter Cell Convictions, UT 3(not out on PS3 until 2008),Two Worlds, Bioshock, Alan Wake, Fable 2, Huxley, Blue Dragon and Lost Odessey are all 360 CONSOLEexclusives that will all be out within the next 6-12 months on 360.

All great titles to be sure. But when are they coming?? Honestly, it all depends on his gaming tastes! Imo, both system s are a good choice.

Good choice but DO NOT buy a 360 yet. The failure rate is ridiculous and apparently they're bringing out a new version this year that doesnt break

For people saying 360 isnt worth it... i have never had such a blast with anyracing game but forza2, it is BRILIANT!

thanks for the information from the poster who put all that information on (sorry i forgot your name lol). Yeah all your points are valid and while i can agree about the current strength of the 360, it just tells me that imo the ps3 has fallen too far behind for my likings. Also the Achievement pointshas always swung me over because i have a few mates who use xbox live and when ever we want to play each other its always a simple friend invite away. As to the other poster the xbox 360 Elite is unlikely to be released over the UK just yet.
