Are you Serious?
...Well someone had to say it .
Is this the original 2 games remade or is it a diffrent game? I havn't watched the trailer yet, I just wanted to spew that cheesy line first.
EDIT: Hmmmm, seems it's a remake. I think I've played more than enough of thefirst 2Serious Sam games. Shame they havn't made a good one since.
Oh man, such a misuse of Clint Mansell's Requiem for a Dream theme. The game itself looks like garbage. It was fun back in stone age or whenever it was released, but it has no business existing today. Fun for all the folks feeling nostalgic about stuff like this I guess.InsaneBasura
Have you seen the video for Dream Killer? The new game from the Painkiller devs. It came out today, too. :D Another game I bet you can't wait for!
What I loved about Serious Sam is that it was a game that didn't pretend to be more than it actually ever was. It was a run and gun game that let you shoot lots of crap, and it didn't try to hide that fact, and it made that style of gameplay about as fun as it could possibly be without attempting to add useless elements like stealth or some ridiculously cliched plot. You play games like CoD 4 and they feel so phony in comparison. Then again you play games like Half Life 2 and that's a whole diffrent story alltogether.
Yeah don't mind me, I'm just being grumpy today.

Yeah I just watched it in fact. :DAnd holy ****! Was NOT expecting that. The way it was set up I thought it was some cheesy-artsy adventure game. And then BAM! There it is. I just burst out laughing. Well done Mr. trailer editor.
Serious Sam is one of my all time favorite series, so needless to say, I'm looking forward to killing hordes of Mental's minions in glorious HD. :D
Oh, and I'm hoping the PC version will support 16 player coop instead of just 4.
Croteam is cool... they are still working on Serious Sam 3...So, basically, instead of giving me Serious Sam 3, they give me what I already have. :|
What happened to you, Croteam? You used to be cool.

Is it gonna be a XBL downloadable game or 60$ from BestBuy? If its an arcade version with co-op then its a must buy for me but if its a 60$ game then WTF? btw why is this Serious Sam had like 1-6monsters on screen and not 50+ like on other SS games?SyferonikThis is being made for XBL arcade, so I highly doubt that it will cost $60. I don't think you need to worry about that, and I'm sure the same 100+ enemy battles are in the game. The only thing that's out, at least for the Xbox 360 version, is the 16 player coop (I'm not sure about the PC version yet).
1. I have been playing Serious Sam in resolutions higher than HD since it was released. :|
2. Remakes are completely and utterly pointless.
3. First Encounter is in every way inferior to the Second Encounter, if you're gonna remake something remake it instead.
4. Did I mention that remakes are pointless and the cancer?
5. It's the same game I played to death about 8 years ago.
In other words, DO NOT WANT.
SS3 plz.

are you that guy that said he'd rather play the original game at high resolution instead of playing a near completely upgrade graphically version in higher resolution?1. I have been playing Serious Sam in resolutions higher than HD since it was released. :|

Well I think its more for the console crowd, they probably have never played serious sam and what better way than in HD with Hi-res textures and updated graphics. I (Like yourself) have played this game WAY too many times, and im still getting it to support croteam and play this masterpiece once again. That and there is finally a SS game on Steam. (it's been too long)1. I have been playing Serious Sam in resolutions higher than HD since it was released. :|

(it's been too long)Exactly, remakes like this are all about expanding the audience. It's even more impressive that they are going back and enhancing the visuals instead of just porting the old game over to XBL arcade. I do agree with one point he made however, I liked the Second Encounter more; it would have been nice to have both in one package.1. Lol, Doom guy is in that pile of bodies. Also, I forgot to mention, hearing those screams of the suicide guys was the scariest thing ever in a game. You are walking aorund.. then all of a sudden "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Just get louder and louder. Scary stuff man.zero_snake99haha that's got to be one of the most memorable sounds in a game ever. Especially on the final level, where there's a wave with ?HUNDREDS of them.
