Halo 3's Single Player looks to be as epic as the original title, maybe even better. Halo 3 will offer the BEST EVER console online multiplayer experience.The graphics look awesome, the environments look rich and detailed, sounds will crisp and the halo soundtrack will be awesome.
If this game isnt GOTY I don't know what will be. Crysis' multiplayer is questionable, UT3 has no single player, Mass Effect looks great but I dont think it will match the hype, Mario Galaxy looks destined for an 8.5-9.0 like all the other big Nintendo franchises seem to score.
Halo 3 is going to be the most complete game ever. People will still be enjoying the gamein 3 years time.

Sound and value would definately be a 10, as halo has always had awesome sound and probably the best musical score of any shooter in years.
Graphics and 8 or 9. Great but not amazing. Honestly, it would all come down to the gameplay. If they can build on the multiplayer even more and make the campaign more halo 1 than halo 2 then i agree it would be perfect.
But then again, that review system isn't used any more so this is pointless. :P
Heh, sorry but Halo 3 just can't touch Bioshock's single player experiance. It just wont. That said It's still going to be a flat out amazing game, especially online.

Not really, it shows why i think it will score a 9.5 or 10 in the new system. Just because they dont listindividual category scores on the website anymore doesnt mean they dont use them to come up withthe finalscore.

why did they even bother?
they looked at the number of games bought compared to the number of people who went online, and they found out that half the people who bought ut2k4 never even played online. so its an investment well made for them.

I was gonna say that.... UT3 Single-Player is essentially Unreal 3... Unreal and Unreal 2 had great single-player experiences so I can't see why UT3 won't.... UT3 will have a better single-player and multiplayer than Halo 3 IMO. Crysis or Bioshock will probably end up GotY though.
If this was Halo 2 we were talking about, I would agree due to the masterpiece that was Halo 1, but seeing as how Halo2 didnt achieve the level of greatness required by a sequel of a great game (like GoW2 did) im gonna hold my judgement till i actually play it.

1) Yeah, Halo 3 offers a lot more than Halo 2 did for Halo 1
2) Bioshock did what System Shocki 2 did in 1999.
bioshock and System Shock 2 are quite different... They have similarities but more differences. And Halo 3 doesn't add all that much more. Forge looks great but thats not a huge change for the industry or the game. Saved Films HAVE been done before no matter what you want to believe(also, while they are nice, they won't really change the gameplay at all). Few other things, but the overall change is honestly minimal. That's to be expected from a sequel though. Bioshock did change the gaming medium IMO.

halo3's MP offers ALOT more then what was in that small beta
Halo 3: (mostly likly to score AAA) I don't see any reason why it won't score less but after the MP3 and Bioshock score (I know it lived up the hype but it was the lowest review out of all the reviews out there), anything can happen. But my guts are telling me Halo 3 will score a 9.5. :P
Halo 3 wont offer anything new at all. As far as innovation goes, there are some pretty unique games coming out. The particle effects in Killzone 2, the endless possibilities and routes to do things in Assassins Crreed, some of the mechanics in UT3. What is halo bringing to the table other than a reputation?
The old system was done away with. Assasins Creed Crysis Uncharted RAtchet And Clank 3 CAll of Duty 4 Unreal Tournament 3 MAss Effect Have just as good or if not better a chance in getting GOTY. All these games look alot more impressive graphics wise. Have solid gameplay, most have some sort of multi-player as good if not better than Halo 3. All will most likely gaurantee a better single player experience. HAlo 3 is a game with strong production, and great gameplay. Most of these games are new ips, are have switched it up for the next gen experience. Halo 3s graphics are solid 7 imo.

There is so much wrong with your post :I , let me tare it down for you:
1) You cannot possible know if the Story is that great, although if your going by Halo CE "Cinamatic experiance :lol:" then its surely one to miss, but I doubt that would be the case.... the story in no. 2 was alot more wacky but alot more active.
2) Unreal Tournement 3 has a full fledged singleplayer from the Gears of War studio.
3) Halo 3 shoving tons of minor arena modes, new weapons, new vehicles is no more complete than Halo 1/2's online ... nothing has drastically changed other than aesthetics.

why does it have to offer anything new? Lots of great games stick to the same plan but just improve the little things and make the game seem more fun and fresh and that is exactly what Bungie is doing. But honestly i don't know a lot about Halo 3 so there could be plenty of new things but i won't care because the last 2 were great and successful games.
