seriously what should the wii's retail price be?

i'm guessing at this point nintendo could bring down the wii to be $129-149 (maybe even $99 not sure how much it costs to make one on nintendo's behalf) if they wanted but they had such strong sales in the begining they don't have 2 anymore its kinda werid thats its 269 here in Canada and ps3 is $299

It should have been released at 199 USD like every previous Nintendo console and should already have dropped to at least 149 USD.

I would never pay $250 for a wii more acesories and controllers necessary to use the wii as it should (party console with almost proper control with motion plus)

I would only consider if were $150 and had at least one motion plus bundled. Or $200 if had at least 40gb storage built-in.

The wii at $250 was more overpriced than Ps3 at $600. Now the ps3 is $300 the $250 is bad joke.

I wish the Wii was free. Then again, I wish every console were free. Maybe you guys should give me your PS3's and 360s. Also, I'd appreciate if you threw in a gaming PC with it.

Well, according to many rumors, it's dropping to $200 this month.

The wii is fine at it's price now. Why should nintendo sell a console for less when it doesn't need to? That's poor business.

Also why are people comparing the wii to the ps2... I don't recall the ps2 having motion controls, not to mention (don't quote me on this im not completely sure) The Gamecube's graphics were better than PS2 graphics (assuming the wii has equivalent graphics to the GC)

I dunno how much it should be in dollars but I would like to see it selling for £99 in the UK.

I'd say probably $150 for the ole' US of A would be about right.

I think $250 is a great price point. When you look at all the great software for the system, I think $250 is a great price for what you pay for.

Honestly $99.99 is more than enough to charge for a Wii.

It's easily worth the $250. I buy a console based on the games and how the technology is implemented, not how expensive it is to manufacture.
