I honestly dont know if it will ever happen....I wanna say sometime but it just does not look like it will ever happen,it wont happen in 2007 thats for sure,the month Halo 3 hits the ps3 will be outsold 3 fold
It will happen eventually, but it doesn't look like it's goig to be a common thing. If the PS3 catches a big hit duing a 360 dry-spell, it will jump ahead in sales.
The more logical question would be: Will the 360 be able to hold off the Ps3 once it gains momentum?It's already overtaken the 360 in Japan(By a large amount I might add),and will surely outdo the 360 in Europe when it launches. Add in that the Wii is on track to beat the 360 in about 3 months,10 million units sold really isnt that much.........................

I really doubt Motorstorm is going to be the game to do it.
The combination of all three could do it. Add in the fact that some people are finally getting caught up with ps2 games and my anecdotal evidence after talking to playstation fans over the last few months that said they have decided to put off buying a ps3 until March.
Whether it is enough to beat the 360 , well that is entirely up to how well the 360 does but the ps3 will do well in March.

Honestly I can't believe how much driven on this forumn this subject is. It doesnt say much, honestly it doesnt. The dreamcast had huge sales when it was released, where is sega now? Not to mention even if the PS3 was to sell more one month is that supposed to change my mind? Not really. I enjoy the 360 very much so. It has great veriety of games and its fun. I'm sure PS3 fans will be saying the same thing shortly when it gets all of its games out. The bottom line is I sure crap am not going to lose sleep over the fact that PS3 or Wii someday will sell more systems one month over the 360, you know why because I will be playing it and enjoying it that much more.

Good for you,but sales is the most important factor of a console war,you said it yourself,Dreamcast had huge sales,and it still failed.... I dont think the Xbox 360 will be the next Dreamcast(Not anymore)but I do know Microsoft have to get a much wider variety of games inorder to gain marketshare.
99% of my gamer friends, about 25 people are eagerly waiting for Resident Evil 5 and Metal Gear Solid 4. And everyone agrees, those are epics must have. So yeah, they will move a lot of units, but I don't know if it's enough to beat the 360...
