Is it just me or are they consistently releasing flops? I noticed this is both commercially and critically. I feel they are another developer that might go bankrupt, but my biggest questions is, considering Borderlands 2 sold over 13 million units - one of the biggest selling games last gen...

Why the hell don't they just release the third? I feel like it's the companies only saving grace. With a lot of similar games coming out, I fear that it'll be a little too late.

Don't blame the company, blame Randy Pitchford for making Gearbox look like a joke it is. As for Borderlands 3, I rather see Aliens Colonial Marines 2 done right.

They made Opposing Force and Road To Hill 30, two of the best FPS made.

Borderwalls is merely "ok", it's repetitive as hell.

I don’t know the reasons why, I just notice the flops. I blame management.

One was released in 1999 and the other 2005. Even if Borderlands is "ok" it sold insane.

Borderlands simply is "ok", it's just standards for FPS are so low now, mediocre games like this get propped up as something they are not.

Road To Hill 30 by comparison is s downright amazing game. Opposing Force? One of the best expansion packs made.

I think alot of gaming media are just very young and never really played good FPS. Pink haired 20-25 year olds from Seattle who started with Halo.

Disgusting really.

I really don't know why you're debating me about the quality of the product, when I never mentioned any of it. Especially bringing out opossing force, a 20 year old game.

Just make Borderlands 3 and everything will be fine.

Borderlands is not so fun to play alone for most but get your closest gamer buddies and its a fucking blast. Thats just what it is.

I'm too busy wondering how Gearbox is planning on nickel-and-dime-ing fans for Borderlands 3. Somehow, I see the whole thing becoming nothing more than just a mess full of microtransactions. Whatever excitement I had for the game has long evaporated, and I'll probably wind up skipping it when/if it comes out.

Borderlands the Pre-Sequel was the worst. Also, it had Claptrap as a playable character. They shouldn't had done that. Borderlands 2 was the best one in the series.

I kind of agree. They seem to be everywhere now-a-days, and to be honest, Borderlands 3 in 2015... sounds nice. But in 2019, I mean next year it will be packed with Rage 2 and The Outer Worlds which kind of seem the same. This may be the end of GearBox.

Been wondering the same. Why not just make BL3 which gamers are waiting to throw money on? Why isn't it already out? I guess they aren't very good at business..

@blackballs: one... Trick.... Pony....

Truthfully I think the market has gone beyond the need for a 3rd borderlands game...

I had high hopes for A:CM. I was on vacation (camping, so no internet) when the sirens went off to "cancel your pre-orders now!". So, I got that POS in my library because I started playing it before I went online to see the reviews.

They got greedy and chased the "moba" market, like blizzard did with heroes of the storm and overwatch, and made a always online game called battleborn instead of doing what they should of done, which is make what they are good at and what people want.

Borderlands 3. Offline , online optional loot shooter, without microtransactions. I love being able to play a shooter single player with different classes and diablo style loot drops. Some people don't like that, as noted on this post, but there are other games for those people if they don't like stats, as borderlands is basically diablo in 1st person with guns.

and a new Brothers in arms game. I loved those too, Hell's highway was so underrated.

Not sure, but I will say that I’m quite surprised at the popularity of Borderlands, as I find it a generic game altogether.

It's ran by known retard, Randy Pitchford. That's what's wrong with Gearbox
