Shadow Harvest (PC/360)

It's a relatively unknown game announced earlier this year. Just thought I'd let people know about it since it looks pretty good imo.

Estimated Release Date : Q1 2009 (Competing with KZ2 ??)

Genre : Tactical 3rd Person Action

Discription : Shadow Harvest is a highly immersive 3rd-person tactical action game set in the year 2025 on various current and future points around the globe.Featuring Dual Charcter control, amazingly realistic graphics and refreshingly diffrent storyline (Not sure about that, lol), Shadow Harvest is a completely new interpretation of the tactical action genre. Being an ISA* agent, the first character, Myra Lee, has a backround in espionage and stealth operations, while the other character, Aron Alverez, is a hard-boiled close combat specialist of US Army's Delta Force. Both Characters are deployed as elite black-ops agents on various hot spots worldwide and behind enemy lines to cooperatively complete covert operations.

It looks bland though, and I'm not riding on the game because of it's graphics either.

Looks pretty bad, I don't like blurry stuff :(

But when I saw the name "Shadow Harvest," I was hoping to come into this thread seeing an RPG of sorts... but when I saw the pics the first thoughts in my head were just like mubarakibnumar's: "Great. Another shooter..."

Are you honestly asking whats wrong with shooters?

The popularity of shooters is slowly killing other types of games. Platformers are dying, Action adventure games are dying to even make matters worst we even have shooting rpgs.

I mean a hardcore game today is nothing but a shooter. We lack diversity this gen.

The action adventure genre is ALMOST dead. Games like Okami, Beyond good and evil, Bloom box, Zack and Wiki,psychonauts, etc dont sell as much as games like Army of 2,killzone 1 and a whole lot of useless shooting games. Its important that we have a very diversified selection of games so that our hobby will grow.
