Sheep, Cows, Lemmings, and Hermits

Well it's almost 2008, the start of a new year here at SW. In the midst of all the requests about improvements for this board, I have just one request that's at the top of my list.

Can we all agree that this farm animal name calling is down right pathetic?

If you guys want to begin to raise the level of self-dignty and self-respect around
here, I suggest we all start with this.

Because I'll be damned if I'll ever refer to myself as a rodent, a sheep, a cow, or a hermit. That's just dumb, and it only breeds hate talk around here.

I'm not suggesting that we eliminate the use of tags/names at all together. Just make them a little less degrading.

So, could we start a poll and choose different tags/names for the different console supporters out there. I think that it would be fun and refreshing.

There could be four seperate threads made out there taking suggestions for new names. (One for each faction). Each thread will have a time deadline. Once that deadline has been reached, a poll of the top 10 names will be voted on, then the top 5, then the top 3. We would do this seperatedly for all four groups.

Maybe we all can come up with some names like: bears, wolves, dragons, or anything other than rodents and farm animals. what do you guys think?

No. the names are fine they are and have been for years.

and coming up with alternative names would create the same scenario.

I try my best to never use the animal names. If I get into a situation where the usage seems appropriate, I just type ____ fanboy.

I just use Xbot, Nintendrone, or Sony SnobSOedipus

Which is even more of a fail tbh.

Obviously. Not trying to be rude here. But Why change something thats noy broken.... You and some other people may not like it... but thats the way it is... its like the government.

there are meanings behind the names.

cows: called so because sony milks them and they follow the herd

lemming: because they follow microsoft blindly even to their death

sheep: because of their willingness to be herded by nintendo.

A first-day n00b cannot, under any circumstances, call anyone else a n00b. Especially when said first-dayer has 33 posts in one day. Go find something better to do. And people don't brag about their "skills" or call people out about their "skills" in SW. Both of you are pathetic (first guy for questioning SW laws).

I think a more appropriate name for them would be SFB, MSFB, NFB, or PCFB. But honestly the way names are now, its fine. It's not really degrading. It's past that, its just another word. Lems, cows, sheep, and herms. much more of a ring to it.

Then again, i wouldn't mind being called a Dragon. Sony fanboys get dragons (get it.. Drag .. on... ), lemmings can be giants (giant company, trying to overtake the little guys), Hermits can be .. umm.. I dunno. But sheep can be Unicorns :D

They all basically mean the same thing.

I think that it would be cool to have everyone come together and make a chang.
