How do I see Wiifit? I have 2 ways of seeing it:
1st: I'm not the target audience. With that said, i wouldn't feel a thing about it because it simply doesn't appeal to me.
2nd: I Can also see Wiifit, not as an entire series but a demo game just like Wii sports/Wii play. Who knows if they might incorporate the balance board on some games in the future?
the game itself looks like really niche. I mean, you can call yourself a movie fan, but that doesn't mean you're going to buy workout videos because they are a kind of movie. This is just a workout video game. So, I would be curious about it, but ultimately wouldn't pay money for it. I am curious about the balance board and what it can do, but since it's a peripheral it will probably never be used for real gaming.
I find it strange that nintendo has to be the one to make it.
It looks....interesting, how else can i put it :? , im intrigued by the concept and the whole balance board. i may buy it just for the experiance and maybe to get my parents playing the wii. If they make more games with the balance board, you know like real games then it may be a decent decision on my part.
Tylendal's right. i remember the poll he made, and pretty much more people were interested by it than flat out hating it.

What do you say about the Zapper?
Now they'll tell you that 360/ps3/pc gamers are fat and need this.

... hmmm i think its the guy camping out side of gamestop for halo 3 needs it... >.> i got a ps3 and im not fat xD! OMFG i gained 2 ounces since i got one 0.0 14 more and thats a pound
I would rather do push ups than playing wiifit... without the cost of software nor the balance board.
(I'm not a sheep, though I do have a wii at my house...)

I like being in good shape, and being strong, but walking or biking or lifting weights bores me. I figure Wii-Fit will help hold my interest. That's why I want to get it.
I like going to the gym my self, the good thing about having having a gym that is open 24 hours a day is a big for me, but I don't like going everyday, the Wii-fit would be perfect for some early in the morning start me ups. Low impact work outs are good as well as those heavy work outs, why not start the day with a bit of exercise.Yes, there are push-up, crunches, and other things I can do at home, but I'd enjoy it more with an interactive game.
I don't really care for WiiFit, but I did remember reading or hearing somewhere that the board used for WiiFit could be used for other games in the future. Like a snowboard or skateboard game. It could be really cool. I hope developers are taking note of that. An SSX game /w the board would be awesome.

I see your second point. I bet they make a scate boarding, surfing or snowboarding game with this thing in the future

There are other methods to get fit other than a video game, like running perhaps? The people its targeting don't relate to me anymore (like most things about the Wii), so I couldn't care less about it :D
Not to mention it looks terrible. A stroke of genius on the sales front (like most things about the Wii), but terrible for any gamer with my tastes (like most things about the Wii).
Certainly the majority who will buy this thing will be women and it's targeted at the them so it's fine. It isn't actually a video game, more an interactive training video, so for all it counts I'm ok with it. If it gives any results in the end is not really a question here, however if you have to move on that board and do certain exercises there will be an effect on your body (it may not be big, but it's certainly better as sitting on the couch and doing nothing).
My girlfriend uses a stepper at home now and she watches TV while stepping (aside from going to fitness), she said, she might want to try the WiiFit just for fun and I can't really see what would be wrong with that.
Nintendo is making other games, and this one here isn't really a game, neither is it targeted at teenage audience. Is it really so wrong if a console tries to push beyond the entertainment and actually tries to make people do something else... I don't know but I welcome "games" like WiiFit, Brain Age etc. evetho I may not really buy them I see lots of people really like that.

Wiifit is going to sell. I mean sell.
It fits what the Wii has been going for, and the demographic as well. Anyone who didn't see this coming should pay more attention.
But as something I would want to buy, maybe, maybe not.
