If the Wii didn't sell, they would say 'It's ok nintendo said they weren't competing with MS or Sony.'
Now that the Wii is selling, its 'Wow look the Wii owns.'

lol. ITS SW!!! Same thing would be true of Lemmings and Cows.
I've actually enjoyed around 7 so far. :)But the Wii wasnt made for the sheep
it was made for the idiots who find Wii Sports fun beyond 20 minutes
The Sheep have how many GAMES to play? 2...3 maybe

It wasn't sheep who started comparing the Wii to the ps3/360 in the first place, now people are being owned, and so I think sheep have the right to say that.If the Wii didn't sell, they would say 'It's ok nintendo said they weren't competing with MS or Sony.'

Sheep have it easy because their games are the cheapest and their console is the cheapest. Personally, I find it hard to argue in favour of the PS3 when I consider the fact that I have a Wii, 2 VC controllers, 2 Wii Remotes, 2 Nunchuks, 5 games (three of which contain MULTIPLE games), and 13 VC games for cheaper than a PS3 would have cost me with only one game.ZebethOrZebes
What?
Wii - $250
Wiimote - $0 (came with)
Wiimote - $40
Nunchuck - $0 (came with)
Nunchuck- $20
VC Controller x 2 - $40
Wii Sports - $0 (came with)
Games x 4 = $200
VC games x 13 = $65 - $130
Hm.. i find it hard to believe that all you have is less than a PS3 with one game.
i'm an idiot? :|But the Wii wasnt made for the sheep

We made this thread last night and at the end of the night not a single Wii owner could prove how Wii sales benefitted them directly. It's a good time to be a Nintendo shareholder, that's about it. For Nintendo fans who aren't able to camp out, getting a Wii is next to impossible, so how is it a good time to be them?
For Nintendo fans hoping for games on the Wii - the continued sales mean that Nintendo won't have to release already completed games like Galaxy and Brawl (which have finished development) until it is a "strategic time" to do so. Just like how they sat on Twilight Princess for two years for the Wii launch, we'll see Brawl or Galaxy at Christmas, and MP3 when they need a sales boost.
The latest news off the Nintendo bandwagon is that they'll be releasing 40+ games on the Wii, just flooding the market with titles like Cooking Mama, Nintendogs, Brain Age, Wii Play, et cetera - games that take shelf space away from third parties. In the rush to line their coffers, Nintendo will push thrd party games off the shelf, effectively ensuring that high-cost projects like Final Fantasy XIII (main game) or Grand Theft Auto IV won't be seen on the system.
You fanboys do what you want, but I see the line-up on the Wii, it's Gamecube + DS titles, sans the third party stuff like Castlevania, Final Fantasy Tactics / Main Series, etc.... that makes the DS worth owning. Nintendo is the kiss of death for second and third parties. Those who know my love of Silicon Knights will understand where I'm coming from when I say that releasing a hardcore game on a Nintendo system is doom - Nintendo simply attracts a fanbase that does not sustain these titles.
But, like I said, do and believe what you want. The topic creator is absolutely correct - you want it both ways, you argue that the Wii is a success regardless, and at the end of the generation no matter what happens you'll be convinced you "owned" everyone as you sit around playing the same games you played on the GCN and DS...only better 'cuz this guy moves when you move your hands!
I feel like it was proven. Can you prove that it's NOT good for the Wii owner, these good sales and high attach ratio? Please, please enlighten me.We made this thread last night and at the end of the night not a single Wii owner could prove how Wii sales benefitted them directly. subrosian

Sales do benifit gamers, how the hell do you think Sony got all of that 3rd party?
Also Nintendo just bought Monolith and announced 45 Wii games.. you think they would've if the Wii was getting outsold by the GBA in NA and was selling 11K per week in Japan? :|

PS3? thought so. And Nintendo haven't named any of the new games yet so please STFU and come back when you have a valid argument.subrosian

first of all its pretty obvious why a gamer benefits from the sales of the console of choise and that is TIRTH PARTY SUPORT you know the reason why a lot of developers are starting to flok over the wii bagon? or why the ds is getting DQ IX and many others like the final fantasies or ninja gaiden? and the fact that you cant see this is one reason to not take you seriusly...
so you actually work for nintendo?! wow!! could you tell me how great this games are or how long will thay be? or better yet since you know everythig about this games are they wifi able? please tell me in cant wait to know...
about the 40+ games iwata talked about...he said many of this games are going to be real gamers games!! you know there can be only some mass apealing games in the marked if they make every single game for casuals they woul saturate the marked and none of them would sell well. take a look at the ds the mass apealing games for this console are nintendog and brain age. many if not most af then are real games like mario, metroid prime or pokemon. by the way i think it was you who said the godfather game its not a real gamers game but here you are pointing that wii owners wont have gta IV and this are basically the same kind of game(i particulary like more the story in the godfather).
at the end i think this is your chance(wii haters) to bash the wii, in its really early state of its life cicle, when it hasnt completelly proven itself. its the same thing when ds haters bashed the ds now theres nothing to say about it.
