Actually they hyped it just right. Most said high A to low AA.
It was a real hype. A lot of us have a soft spot for the little hedgehog and have fond memories from his 2-D days. But his 3-D games have been pretty bad of late. After some great previews of secret rings it seemed that almost every problem was fixed. So, in anticipation we hyped it A (it is a sonic game after all).
Like a pheonix rising from the ashes, the hedgehog we all love is not fully reserected yet, but it's a step in the right direction. To quote Gamespot, "Sonic and the Secret Rings delivers an excellent sense of speed and plenty of depth, and what's just as impressive is that it makes Sonic fun again."

They were hyping it high A to low AA, and that's what it got. Stop being such a buzzkill. Most people, sheep or not, are just happy to see a decent Sonic game after the last few god awful pieces of crap we've been treated to.

What is some of you guys' problems? I didn't say anything bad about this development. That's good that sonic has a decent game after all the recent craptacular outings. I seriously thought it was a joke when people hyped sonic. Congrats on a solid sonic game.

Well, only the crazy ones hyped it AAA, Official Thread hyped it A, And they was after all the gampeplay movies and positive previews came in.
