Yeah, they both were pretty lame. :P
I pre-ordered the regular version.MoldOnHold
Same here. Luckily, I shouldn't have to worry about any scratches. My dad's gonna pick my copy up when I'm at school so I hopefully they won't be all out.
You deserve to get a scratched up disc if you pay $10 more for a terrible DVD and a tin case.BioShockOwnz
Btw, are you serious? I thought the DVDwas worth it because of the TV calibration tool (or whatever that is), btw, for those who know, is this worth it? What exactly does it calibrate?
who cares, they will just give you new ones.
you kids try to make the most out of anything.. .

The queston is who will MS or the store you got the game from....Most stores I know will not allow you to return opened games
But if I were someone who preordered it, shake the case before you pay for it. If you hear the disk moves then don't buy it. I get this all the time when buying Anime

Actually, most stores do allow you to return an open game for the same game only.

Gamestop and Walmart don't last I knew any others I don't know about.
You can exchange an opened software product from Walmart, Bestbuy, gamestop, etc for the same item. Read the back of your receipt.wiwahibWell you have to open it up to see if the disc is scratched. I guess you could shake the case to hear if the disc is loose.
NeoGAF > Internet..
But yeah, I heard about that today around 3PM CST, I figured it was a bit too mean, especially with the ridiculous hype around Halo 3 to point that out.
thats not 360s problemMad_Rhetoric
Its Microsoft's which is effectively the same thing..although since you bring up the issue the 360 has a well known issue with disc-scratching as well due to Microsoft's horrific failure in supplying $.03 worth of pads to keep the discs from impacting on the drive mechanics..
Happy 7 day suspension

For what exactly?

Well if people are paying more and already potentially have to deal with waiting sometimes in excess of a month for a refurb 360 to be sent to them due to RRoD or other hardware failures I don't think its exactly a minor issue. Shouldn't that be a minimal expectation on game consoles that the GAMES ACTUALLY WORK?
P.S. The people making a leap (well really plunge into a spikepit of indeterminate depth) of logic need to calm down. The OP isn't bashing Halo 3 based on this, it does however bring up an additional reason that someone may not be able to "Finish the Fight".
