Honestly are these threads needed, GoW clearly is the better game

its like competing a Fish against Metal Gear REX lol

DMC and Ninja gaiden beats GOW in gameplay by a huge margin.....much deeper combat system...gow has better story i guess...depends on what u prefer

they need something new to the series to bring it back, like using enemy weapons in like a combo or something, or having additional combos. Boss battles are the best in DMC, in NG not so much. They can get cheap like getting thrown on the ground and then stand up to another attack. I mean you basically have to be flawless in jumps and dodges. GOW is great but idk somethings missing, range is an issue here. He should have something to shoot to change it up a bit.

I prefer the Ninja Gaiden series more than the other purely because of how indepth the gameplay is. Yes God of War have the best story between the three of them, but what I look for in the action adventure genre is how the gameplay is excuted, and in this case Ninja Gaiden have this area won in my opinion.

Well, if you come to think of it, in terms of Gamespot scores, GOW's (series) Average Score- 9/10 (9.3, 9.2, 8.5) DMC's (series) Average Score- 8/10 (9.1, 6.4, 8.6, 8.0) NG (series) Average Score- 8.7/10 (9.4, 8.0) So, GOW>NG>DMCkhoofia_pika

Not a fair comparison really, but i agree with the end result.

Ya, i kinda know what you are trying to do, and its not a fair comparison. For example, if DMC has 5 AA games in the series, average score is AA.And NG has one AAA game, average score of AAA. Doesnt mean NG is the better series.

I like all three, but GOW is my favorite.

GOW doesn't have gameplay as deep as the other two series, but it trumps them in terms of story and production values. GOW is the better series, IMO.lusitanogamer

I have always liked action games, but i really fell in love with this genre with DMC, besides DMC3 is one of my favorite PS2 games, and i liked a lot some boss battles in DMC4, while i enjoyed NG and GOW too, Devil May Cry is by far my favorite.

I'll still take NG without a doubt, but GoW 3 may change that.

DMC imo, and DMC3 is the pinnacle of the series just amazing the Original GOW was grea but then the game went downhill Wings_008

I say GoW just cuz its not a glorified fighting game :D like the other 2. Basicaly its just going from fight to fight. GoW has a great story and the protagonist isnt just a badass :D

Do you like your gameplay shallow, with an interesting plot and great presentation for an action game? Your choice will be God Of War.

I like them in that order. NG > DMC > GoW. None of them are bad though.

NG needs a good story and it will be a far better choice than all its competitors, GOW comes in 2nd, DMC 3rd, but they all are gr8 hack and slash games that i would get every single game in the serieses.

NG Combat> GoW combat > DMC Combat
GoW Story > DMC Story > NG Story
GoW Epicness > DMC Epicness >NG Epicness
DMC Cheesy dialogue >>>>>>>>>>> GoW/NG

In the end i cant really decide between GoW and NG, but with GoW3 coming i think that will tip the scale in favor of GoW.
