sure these are sports games. but there are others.

so do you think that we that own 360/ps3 seem to be getting ripped off because there really is no reason for the games to be 60 anymore. maybe at the start but not now. not for multiplat games, sports games and what not.

well Ms is trying a new stradgey out and selling rares 2 new games for 40 bucks new, thats right Bnajo: nuts and bolts for 360 is 40 bucks and viva pinta 2: trouble in paradis3 is 40 bucks. They are testing if they sell well and more and if it works they said they will try to implent the same marketing stradgey with other games.

The reason for high prices was hype in 2004 when the companies thought they could get more money outta gamers.

There really is no excuse for raising the standard 50 bucks to 60, especially when you can find a lot of the HD consoles same games on PC for 50 or 40.

There's no reason for sports games to cost $60 every year. You can't really compare the production costs of Wii games to 360/PS3 games though. Its probably the same as developing a PS2 game nearly.mbrockway

im just tired of being milked by all devs for paying 60 bucks. the games usually arent worth 50 for any game genre. the next gen better not cost more. some say it might but they could raise the prices now if they wanted to. but imo with the us economy they would be smarter to sell games at 40-50 bucks for new games. atleast sports titles.

sports games should not cost that much to produce anymore. this is the 4th madden on the 360 and 3rd on the ps3 i believe.
