I would say 360 because for starters, XBOX Live, and a huge cast of good games. PS3 doesn't have enough good games to compete with the 360. If anything else I would suggest a Wii.

First of all do not get the Wii unless your a 4 year old...

If you can wait for great exclusives like MGS4, FF13, Haze, GTA4, GT5 get the PS3

If you want great games NOW get the Xbox360.

Oh yeah and if you dont want to pay extra for online get the PS3 aswell

I've looked at this issue long and hard, and i'd say it depends. Xbox is made by microsoft, which means your xbox will die within 3 years, almost cerainly, although it will be under warrenty, you won't be able to play it until it's fixed. DO NOT GET WII! It is a piece of ****! the graphics look silly, and the best game is wii sports STILL! Come on! I had heard loads of things about it, i tried it, and my god was it boring. Now that that's out of the way, the PS3's advantages are basically reliability, blu-ray (rediculously good looking movies) potential, and if you don't already have a dvd player definitely get PS3. In other words Multimedia. Also, 360 is often noisy, so PS3 wins at Background Noise

However, PS3 is better here in some minor catagories, like baseball games: MLB the show is much better than mlb2k7. then there's Online Gameplaywhich is a debateable one. For that reason i would say price is tied, since games cost the same, the actual xbox is $50 cheaper across the board on different models, but the online stuff costs a lot, and xbox games are OCCASIONALLY a few bucks cheaper. Usually only after the games are a year old though.

Overall, if you want to play 1st person shooters, and maybe madden/nba games, buy xbox 360, but not elite, aka retard xbox, since it's actually the same thing as xbox premium, but $100 more and it's painted black. If you want some more final fantasy type RPG's, and maybe some shooters and other sports titles, then i would probably get PS3.

Also note, if you're a total mac guy, get PS3, as Xbox is microsoft, and they're evil and bad and should be avoided.

Really though, it depends on what you want, definitely consider both.

I would say wait. I wouldn't buy either untill the bluray/hddvd war is done. World wide it looks like Sony will pull it off, but I'd still wait. The fanboys that want immediate satisfaction will tell you 360. Anyone with a memory or any experience in marketing will tell you it's become clear that Sony knows what its doing. Durability goes to Sony hands down.

Haha, that's funny. better reliability. Who says PS3 is crap? It is definitely not crap. They're both really good, but 360 will crash (under warrenty) and PS3 won't have QUITE as good games. I.E. no Halo 3. But both have great titles like assasin's creed

I've looked at the videos on gamespot, first of all, why don't most of the 360 ones work? Second, Warhawk looks like the best game ever created. The one halo 3 video i did manage to see stunk! The weapon took up half the screen! What's with that? Also, in the 360 commercial with halo, the alien guy whatever it's called looks awful. What's with the graphics? However, and a big however, I saw Ace Combat 6 and OH MY GOD! that might even be as good as Warhawk. That game looks like a freaking movie! Assasin's creed has a lot of hype, but it looked kind of corny on the video. Are there any videos that make 360 look good besides AC6? Please show me.s7t77s777

360 has the best games. Multiplatform games have also generally been better on the 360. (Considering that COD 4 sold about 75% on the 360, it seems that 360 versions of multiplatform titles will continue to be given priority in the forseeable future.)

The PS3 is great if you were planning to buy Bluray, if you perfer MGS4 over Halo (or other exclusives), or if you are a hardcore PC gamer (since many of 360's best titles are also released on PC).

In general, 360 currently offers far better games for less.

I would suggest to avoid getting the Wii, unless you want it for party games, or are a casual gamer and don't mind getting only a few worthy releases a year. It is awesome for parties (hands down the best), but the 360 or PS3 will offer you more compelling single player gaming experiences overall.

buggy? please i dont have any problems with CoD4 online. And yeah UT3 is multiplatform but he was asking for this holiday season. And 360 isnt getting UT3 until Q2 08.
