[QUOTE="Ninja-Hippo"][QUOTE="GreyFoXX4"] Yea go ahead and get that $199+$50 for xbl core 360 that is blessed by MS. You'll be able to play all of the games, save a huge amount of music and videos on it. Much less all of the demos you'll be able to save on the core model from xblM. Heck all of the Dlc and extra maps that MS has coming will be awesome on the core 360 for $199. I'd say just get that or if feeling really fisty go and get the $299+$50 for xbl and you'll really be set and you would have SAVED A HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY.
P.S. Local Walmart has XBL gold now for $69.99 for a 12 month subscription, didn't it used to be $49.99?

I really dont understand why fanboys hate on the core with logic like "where will you put all your downloaded maps!" If you where a hardcore gamer who plays online shooters and would likely download new content, why on earth would you buy a core? It's like saying a sports car is crap because you cant fit your whole family in it. It's obviously not made for that purpose, or bought by people wishing to use it for that purpose.
The sad thing is that thousands of people will buy that system only to get home to find out that they can't do that stuff. Just like most 360 users on this board throw out the $199 core system as being a awesome deal and actually recommend it. (For people who just want to play games it IS a great deal...is it for everyone?...no, but then again "lems" don't reccomend it for everyone. Just to show some huge price difference between the 2 systems. But in fact the only system for the 360 that is comparable to the ps3 is the 2 upper models which in both cases with xbL included and you have to include it cause it comes free for the ps3 is either $50 cheaper or $50 more than the 80gb ps3.
But to the TC just hang in there Sony is going about its future in gaming the right way and that is not trying to survive by using the past but moving on to the future with its 1st party and 2nd party devs. You still get all of those great games from all of our own pasts, but you will also get some great NEW exclusives games here in the present and in the future. You should NEVER buy a games system NOW for games in the FUTURE. Prices drop too quick. You should buy it WHEN those games are coming as the system usually ends up being cheaper.
My post about the price was to just cut off any lemmings that were foaming at the mouth to tell this gent to get the core system for $200 less just to get someone to get the 360 lol.
Then, they can get a HDD and STILL have a system cheaper than the PS3. A HUGE part of the market simply wants to play games. If they find out they WANT to do more they can do it. Funny how cows didn't seem to crow about having to add things to the system LAST gen when you needed the network adapter, the multitap, and HDD to get the same features. How many people last gen bought a PS2 only to take it home and find out they needed to buy a 40 dollar memory card just to be able to save their game progress? BTW, you DO know you can download content and stuff without being an XBL gold member right? You can play all xbox games for $199 at the cheapest. You can play all PS3 games for $399 at the cheapest. End of story.
