should Lara Croft be exclusively on the Playstation 4?

With the uncharted series coming to an "end" with uncharted 4, it would be okay if Lara Croft comes back home to just being exclusive for the PS4. Make the next tomb raider (ghost of the tomb raider) just PS4 exclusive? When they released rise of the tomb raider for xbox one and PC only, it pissed me off, i know we just got the PS4 version but her HOME belongs on playstation, if my memory holds up, she started on the original playstation and her journey should end on a playstation gaming platform ONLY.

And Sony's going to need another NATHAN DRAKEish franchise character like Lara Croft as a AAA exclusive title unless Naughty dog is secretly working on a Uncharted 5.

Erm, no. PlayStation was not the home of Tomb Raider - the Sega Saturn was. Only after a few days later was it released simultaneously for MS-DOS (in other words, PC) and PlayStation.

By your logic, then, it should just be a PC and PS4 exclusive, my intense antipathy towards platform exclusivity aside.

Your memory holds up like crap. Tomb Raider made it's debut on the Sega Saturn, with it's PS1 release shortly after. And the series has never, never, NEVER been exclusive to Playstation at any point. Even before the dual release on Xbox beginning with Legend, TR games have always been simultaneously on Playstaion and PC. Hell there were even Gameboy and other portable titles in those days.

All this rubbish about "Playstation was always the home of Tomb Raider" is nothing more than the wishful thinking and revisionist history of fanboys with no perception of the reality of gaming history.

I can empathize that the Xbox timed exclusivity deal sucks balls, but there's no call to make the series exclusive to PS (again never was to begin with) or any platform now. Keep it as multiplatform and let it be enjoyed by as many players as possible.

Tomb Raider was never a PlayStation exclusive, also the game was designed and built for the Sega Saturn, the PlayStation version is a Saturn port.

The first Tomb Raider was also on the Sega Saturn. In fact, Tomb Raider debuted on the Sega Saturn first.

That, and only 2, 3, and Angel of Darkness are exclusive to the Playstation(barring PC and mobile ports)

All the other Tomb Raider games have been multiplats that have come out on Sega, Nintendo, and Microsoft platforms along with Sony's systems.

So, Tomb Raider is no more exclusive to Playstation then Final Fantasy or Resident Evil are.
