Should Leap frog be considered a console

ISn't Leap Frog a handheld anyways. And I suppose you could count it as one, however it would be a really ****** one at that. And no one on gamespot is going to be interested in it (I hope anyways)

it's just as much as a console as the Apple Pippin was a console way back in the day.

I'm sorry, but a system that plays educational games only should NEVER be considered a console.

My wife and I bought my 3 year old son a Leapfrog Leapster for Christmas this year, along with a Thomas and Freinds game and a Pixar's Cars game. He loves it and has a blast playing and learning with the system.

I thought of it as his first handheld system, and a great learning experiance. As he gets older I plan to buy other handhelds such as the PSP or DS (prolly a PSP2 or DS2 by that time), but the Leapster is a great gaming system for children at the pre-k, to maybe thrird grade age.

They system itself is a MASSIVE battery hog, but the graphics are nice and colorful, very comparable to GBA games. The touch screen is responsive, and the system is very sturdy, and can handle the wear and tear of a young boy hauling it around.

I think it is a great machine for what it does, and so does my little boy.
