Should MS let you use actual cash on everything on Xbl?

How is the point system confusing? :?

80 points = $1. The rest is just basic math.

I mean, I agree that MS should get rid of the points system but still...

Apparently multiplying by 1.25 is hard. :P That said, I would like to see some more straightforward pricing on XBL.

Come live in Canada, it's actually 80 MSP = $1.24 (approximately). We get shafted.

The only positive note I can think of is that you are only taxed when you buy the actually points.

It would get more confusing converting all the currencies into USD including taking the daily conversion rates into account THEN buying something.

I've not once been confused by the point system. If you know 80 points = $1, it's easy to figure out the rest. 800 points = $10. Multiply by 2, and you get 1600, or $20, etc. You get the idea.

It's not confusing at all. If it displayed actual money it wouldn't make a difference for me.

I kind of like it. Yes, it is confusing at first, but the conversion rate isn't that complicated and you get the added bonus of accessory sales at stores, where points cards are discounted. So if you shop smart you'll end up paying less for items than you would on PSN. Nintendo points cards also come on sale, yet you'll never see PSN cards on sale because of their set dollar amount. Sony could work out deals like Apple does with iTunes cards ($25 for $20 at some stores, it seems), but they obviously don't care.

People lacking basic math skills? I don't know, 80 points per dollar isn't that tough.

yes and no its not confusing, its not hard to understand one can do simple match and actually get direct point values for games the only times its truly bad is when they have a wonky priced game that gives you odd point values.
but yes you definitely should be able to pay out cash for items.
