Having watched the movie "Mad Max: Fury Road", the movies premise "bad man has water, rogue knight takes his womans", a three hour movie with set up that lasts about 1 whole entire minutes with almost no dialogue.
By comparison, Far Cry 3 open up with 13 minutes of annoying American people, with a highly linear chase, a reset button, then a black man telling the young white American Jersey Shore man he is the best thing since sliced bread.
Even though the games story is ridiculously simple (rescue friends), in the hours after it, it tries to make it seem like some mystery is being unraveled with a shit ton of annoying cut-scenes. This is symptomatic of most Ubisoft games, Assassins Creed 3 dragging shit out for eternity.
Should next generation console titles be more concise with their story-telling? Or, will this problem actually increase? Mainly due to Ubisoft and Sony?
