Should non ps3 owners wait for the 40 gig or another price drop?

a $400 is a good price but to bad they deleted the BC.

Actually it has been confirmed that PS1 emulation will still be there for the new 40 gig PS3 and most likely PS2 emulation will arive via emulation.

The only reason I used the BC was to see how my games looked in HD, they look better but I could really careless, playing old PS2 games in HD doesnt add anymore value to the game....I still had a been there done that feeling.

4 USBS to 2 is perfect, I actually only use one but at the same time I only have 2 controllers.

From 60 gigs to 40 sound reasonable to me, if your not into buying games off the PSN Store.

of course the $400 PS 3 will have less features to balance out the cost, but nonetheless its still pretty good for what it is.

you don't really need the card reader slot for the most part, i barely use it myself also. plus, 60GB and 40GB of HDD are not much different, i downloaded alot of trailers and demo, and i only used up 55GB. and i still have 30GB of stuffs that i could delete anytime if i feel like it.

as long as they keep Wifi, 40GB is quite worth it.

Don't be surprised if BC is added via firmware down the road.

To the TS. The 40gig, even without BC, is very good deal. I can't stress that enough.

Sony is obviously scrambling with their PS3. Prices, skus, controllers, game delays. So whats the motto again? JUST WAIT.

I'm buying the console when enough games that I want come out for it.

If the price drops before then, that's wonderful, but price isn't the main factor in my decisionmaking.

The funny thing is Sony ripped MS for having 2 SKUs at launch.

Hi im like a non-ps3 owner..and this sucks man.

I got a Xbox 360 so im not to worried on some games ad um besides MOST ps3 games arent as promising as they said they were when PS3 waas anounced (remember realtime graphics like they showed you HAA)..

very few games i want to get on PS3 atm. But i need my BC and for those that said something about "Dont you have a PS2" well dont want to be rude but um is you consol imortal...? they dont last forever you know...

Thing is i still play sometimes Resident Evil 2 or Evens Directors cut and not to mention Final Fantasy VII (and others) but with PS2 im enjoying games like Destroy all humans and stuff like that. So why the hell?

Sony should keep BC emulated or something or make two versions and shut up.

1 Version is downgraded (40gig no stick slots no PS1,PS2 chipset)

2 Version is not downgraded but keeps 2 USB Ports (you dont need a lot..) and universal sticks slots (adds to media) and Ps1 and PS2 chipsets if that will cost 600$ well......if you willing to pay more FOR MORE then why not.

Peoples problems are as follows

Ps3 is Expensive Less games for it.

Xbox 360 Is cheaper games look farely the same more games to select.

Wii fun to play MUCH cheaper has BC and a good Virtual Consol (never checked that out) and did i mention its Cheaper.

Now people dont think oh no PS3 is too expensive ill go for the Over whelming Xbox 360 that threatens to get so many issues (dont get me started) because A cheaper than ps3 and more games. but they dont relise that PS3 in overall has more to offer than just gaming its got Blue ray YAY...and can do a lot more than Xbox 360 and the specs are like um WTF thats a lot of CPU power.

But as for Sony they never gave what they promised i reckon even if they drop there dam prices with Machie spec cuts. They must start making good games for it not to mention Good Looking games i played Ridge Racer 7 the other day it looked horible and played little bad i prefer the one on my PSP im pretty sure i seen it looking better than that on trailers..and i played on a Bravia (the new SOny TV) HDTV...

But i really dont want sony to turn out like Sega did back in 1998/1999 although i read what happend though and well Sega got ignorant and thus US Stores boy cotted Selling Sega Stuff and turned to PlayStation.. not to mention screwing over developers with brining the Dreamcast too early.
