I was just trying to think of a good thread and this is the best I could think up :\. its my most hype game right now.

Well, I for one hated the original, made numerous attempts over years but got bored before I even got past first disc. If anything, remake might stand a chance to hold my interest.

FF7 remake has been delayed until October.

In all seriousness, is the idea of "Play the original before playing the remake" people still complaining about the lack of turn based combat? In terms of gameplay mechanics, the older Final Fantasy games did not age well. If you were to play a game like the original FF7 in this day and age, you're probably looking for something to play while playing the Engineer in Team Fortress 2. Heck, is there anything else like "Playing Engie in TF2" where you'll want to play a turn-based JRPG while camping at a spot waiting for an automated turret to shoot something before you actually do things?

But to remain on topic, if the remake of FFVII played like its PSone counterpart, then Tales of Arise would eat Square-Enix's game for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And maybe dessert and late night snack depending on how many episodes there are.

No I hope more people play it and become fans.

Square should demand proof of a previous play through at purchase. Either by bringing in an old receipt, save game, pictures, video, or testimony of a trusted source.

I have the original everywhere, PS classic, PC, PS4.. yet i have never beaten it. When i was a kid i play only like half of it... i was so stupid i sold my PS1 box -_-
