Cows are owned. Honestly speaking, this game and returnal were two ps5 games I was most interested in. Good news for sure.

Looks like the scam Sony exclusivity deals aren't working so well this gen, what with Xbox series doing gangbusters sales.

Same here, but the reason I like it on gamepass is because of xcloud. You can play the game on the xbox at 12tflop, then when I feel like it, just go over to my steam deck and stream the game over gamepass.

You can't stream your library as far as Im aware, at least not yet anyways.

Not too interested in it myself. Would try it if it hits Game Pass though.

I use gamepass on my deck and stream gamepass games through xcloud. I don't think theres a way to do that for the regular library yet though, and then getting that to work on the deck is more of a hassle.

And yeah, streaming is not as good as playing direct, but still not too bad at all.

I don't want to have to power on my Xbox to stream though, its a bit of a deal breaker and hassle.

Timed exclusivity was always known for this game. I believe the same goes for Stray.

Just got it on PS5, and the game is a ton of fun. Not very long, but a good challenge. One of my favorites of the year to be honest. Super easy to just pick up and play.

I am happy more people get to enjoy this game.

Awesome game. But its too short of a game even for a rougelike.

I already played SIFU on EGS and I failed to see how the Cows have got owned when it was crystal clear it was always timed exclusives. The same goes for Stray as well. Don't forget SIFU was always on PC too.

Whether it ends up on Game Pass probably depends on whether it gets added to PS Plus as its exclusivity window ends.

Deathloop is a clear example of this. Based on the RE8 marketing contract that was leaked, at the end of its market deal window there was a 120 day (4 month) negotiation window that gave Sony priority to negotiate adding it to their subscription service first. When Dearhloop's 1 year exclusivity ended it still would have taken 4 additional months to add it to Game Pass. Rather than wait until January, in order to get it on Game Pass at same time they had to add it to PS Plus to close the negotiation window. I think it's fair to assume that Ghostwire Tokyo will see the same kind of addition to PS Plus and Game Pass at same time sue to this clause.

If they choose not to do this with Sifu then it will release as just another game and whether it gets added to Game Pass down the road without releasing on PS Plus would add an extra 4 months to when that could happen, if at all.

@lamprey263: interesting observations. Personally I would love it if it made it to gamepass, that way I could test it out first and enjoy xcloud too. It doesn't sound like it's going to happen though...but gp has proven me wrong before. Will wait and see.

This is why Sony is paranoid about the Activision and Blizzard acquisition.

It really is. MS can say what they want but it will make its games exclusive eventually. No one's that naive.

If I was in Phil's shoes, I would make all of the Activision games exclusive except for Call of Duty, Candy Crush, Warzone. I would treat those specific ones like Minecraft. They print money and even if Xbox takes back their COD share like they had on the 360, the PS version of COD would still just generate a shit ton of money still. So no way I would I take that off of PS. It's free money.

Same! But I'd never let any platform get timed exclusive content unless they're willing to pay a significant premium.
