Yeah, I know there where some fanboys that said that, but cmon you make a thread to try to claim ownage over some known fanboys? This will not end well.
If you claim that Crysis (as it is now) is coming to consoles, then you've just made a pretty bold prediction.QuirkyUsernameexactly, and there isn't even a statement anywhere saying crysis is being made for cryengine 3/consoles. I'm not a hermit, but i will indeed sign here saying crysis won't come to consoles, as if you've played it you would notice it just can't be done. If my q6600 and 8800gt struggles on high, i'm sure consoles won't be able to run it.

Crysis as it is will not be on consoles. If it is I'll give you a cookie, I can bet that sweet chocolate chip only in the safe knowledge that it is technically impossible on the meagre hardware. CE3 is a console-friendly CE2. It's not looking to be better than CE2 or deliberately worse. It's just a way to get Crytek into the console market. Crysis may help if it came on CE3, but honestly, Crytek have Free Radical now, they have a million more console friendly games and Crysis already accomplished massive goals on the PC in selling hardware and copies.the only way it could be done is if the island was reduced to small areas with loads in between them, the fully intractable/destructible environment would probably be removed tooshadow_hosii dunno consoles can handle physics, at least the PS3, btu that aside this thread kinda fails, because they made an engine doesnt mean its going to be anythign like the PC version, anyone remeber Farcray and Farcry on the Xbox...

1) Last I heard Crysis was not announced for consoles, reduced versions of its art assets were used to demo Cryengine 3 however.
2) I've probably said it a hundred times but I'll say it again, What we consider Crysis is not possible on consoles due to memory restrictions. I have said in the past a redesigned version that lacks signature game play could run on consoles; but a port is impossible.
