He's right though. The origional xbox had better shaders. And even though the Wii can prolly put up more polys than the origional xbox, it's gonna have a rough time with special effects. Plus the xbox could output 720p in some games...
However, the Wii is better than the PS2 and then origional xbox, because it is definately more powerful than the PS2 and it hs Nintendo games, which the xbox did not have.

Wii =/= Gamecube. Wii is next gen. And, Wii is better than PS2, though the PS2 beats it's pants off in terms of games.JandurinWell I tried to argue this but my freind Pwned me .. He forced me to admit that Wii is very similar to gaecube. So if Wii isnt next gen it at least has to be best in current gen.

And it's easily arguable that any of the current (PS3, 360, Wii) gen console is the best. They each have unique abilities.
You think the Wii compares to the PS2 game wise? Are you serious? PS2 is the only system that has made PC gamers even flinch a little. It has TONS of good games.VandalvideoThe Wii has 3 generations of Nintendo games backing it up: NES, SNES, and N64. They also have support from Genesis and TurboGraphix16. The entire GC game catalog is 100% backwards compatible. This is not even including the number of Wii games already out, being produced, or will come to it in the future.

And yet it still can't touch the PS2's 70+ aaa/aa/a titles. I'm not even including PS1 games. GC was a failure of a system third party wise anyway.

Ask someone who grew up during the SNES and Genesis era and they'll know how ridiculous that statement is. That statement is also telling of your age and suggests you grew up during the PS era. No one who is a serious gamer would look down at the games from the NES, SNES, Genesis, TurboGraphix16, and N64 eras.

Enough so to say that the three or four games on there > PS2. I'm a PC-ENgine fanboy. But thats beside the point. Not even a quarter of the NES/SNES/N64 games are emulated on VC right now. Currently, the PS2 WHOOPS the Wii in terms of quantity of games.

You can't just discount the huge library of games that will come for the system. Many of them are definitely classics and timeless. Those are a lot of good games for the system and can't be discounted easily. PS2 is a great system and has a lot of great games, but I think the Wii having all those retrogames is enough to eclipse the PS2's library.

Buddy...the vast majority of those games aren't available and oh yeah..they're PORTS! Better not EVER find you calling the PSP the "Playstation PORTable" or any other crap like that after your post.

I've never called the PSP the Playstation PORTable. I have nothing to say about the PSP since the DS is already clobbering it.
