360 being the "best" is not a universal truth, nor is it a fact. Neither is that the PS3 is more powerful, as that has many many facets to disect in it, and is actually quite debated on both sides.
The rest of the post is rather "safe", in that you state what everyone has known for a year now. With that, I agree with the Wii and PC parts.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the Wii is winning, because it has sold more. Maybe that's just me.
I mean, since opinions differ and by definition can't be right or wrong, isn't the only thing we have to go by, the facts?
Which facts are important? Game number(360), Game quality(SMG), attach rate(360)? Most of these numbers are polls or concensus, and not fact.
I don't think anyone is qualified to determine or guess which numbers are important on this site.
So, the only real way we have to determine who is winning is by number of consoles sold. This is the closest way we have to determine a factual leader in Next Gen console wars.
Since the Wii has sold more units than the 360 in less than half the time, no matter how they did it, wouldn't that put them in the winning position, given the only criteria we can possibly judge first place on?
Am I wrong, I'm asking?
The 360 is the best right now. That is fairly obvious. The PS3 is more powerful, no matter if you want to say that it isn't or not. Once people can fully utilize it, there will be a differnce. Blu-ray may not be needed, but it definitely helps, and developers can add more into the game (whether or not they just fill it up with useless stuff is up to them). The PC will always have the highest possible technology, so this puts it ahead of all of the console graphics wise. The Wii is on a whole different level, and appeals to a different kind of person. I don't think that it was intended for those graphaholics. Just some simple points, and I think people just need to realize this. I own a Wii, a 360, and a laptop.ho0p3r4life42
u will own a ps3 when ff13/mgs4/gt5/tekken come out an the price wont be droppin much for awhile so ur going to miss out a lot of ps3 stuff imo so why even act like its not worth it to own
any true gamer i dont care what kind u are does not pass up on multi million dollar gaming blockbusters
that would be like me bein a huge fan of football but cuz 2 teams i dont like r playin the super bowlim not gonna watch total retard logic if ur af an of gamin an do not buy ps3 this year u are a dunce imo
and same with ppl who dont own a psp another legendary hand held device thats blows the ds outa the water imo the wii/ds are the ones ppl shouldnt mind missin out on the playstation brand is strongoer then ever an i think the wii/ds are major fads right now hyped by non-gamers an massive nintendo fanboys
Proto = moron.
First comment - Those titles may be 'blockbuster titles' but by no means does that mean they will do well. I think we've seen our fair share of titles expected to dominate and come up short. Looking at the big picture, I wont buy a console for two games coming out 'sometime later.'
Second comment - psp is like a good idea - but failed with poor logic. The dudes at sony wanted a multimedia system with extra features and gizmos cause of course thats what their audience wants.. lol'd wrong. Your 'major fad' Ds outsells Psp with insane numbers and it has none of those extra gizmos and features. What does it do? It plays games, and good games at that. Theres no room for some strange overpriced movie format. Wasn't there another system that made its selling point a strange new and expensive movie format? Oh wait.. Is the PS3 going to end up like the PSP with the same mistake? Well I hope not for Sony's behind.

Game number and attatch rate are concrete numbers, as far as they can be. Attach rate is taking software sales and dividing by the number of units sold, so its about as accurate as sales data.
As for game numbers, you go to a retailer/site/review site/etc and count them. It will be mostly accurate, as there will undoubtably be a few games you miss, but it would again be no worse off than sales data.
In the end, sales change nothing, really. I can still enjoy the PS3 without it selling like the PS2. I can enjoy the 360 without it being #1 in worldwide sales. And I can enjoy the Wii without it having to sell 500k units a month.
