Sims 3 heading to consoles this Fall

It's been quite a while since I played a Sims game but TBH, I'm sorta looking forward to messin around with this game. :oops:

How about you ?

What's the chances of the console version outselling the PC version ? :twisted:

Say what you want, but I've always found The Sims strangely appealing, despite never really bothering to play them. I like the idea of little people who will react to my capricious and Godlike actions. I've been perpetually tempted to pick up The Sims 3, and now another round of temptation is ready to launch with the game's console debut this Fall.

The Sims 3 has been officially confirmed for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii, finally leaving the realm of PC exclusivity after ten billion years. There will also be a DS version, obviously.

The Wii version will be getting an exclusive beach town full of new residents, most likely to make up for the Xbox 360 and PS3 getting the better deal in the visual department. In any case, neither version will have the PC's nude patch, so what's the damn point?

Finally!! I was thinking about getting it for the PC when it came out, but my laptop at the time didn't have everything I needed for tha game to run. I'm glad its coming to the consoles. Ill pick it up for 360.

It's true though, PC lost a exclusive but it's quite a Reach :P on your part to say anything else other then....The PC remains fine at this time.

Er, I thought the Sims didn't work on consoles....like at all. I tried one for the PS2 a while back and my god was it bad.

There is a reason The Sims has remained a primarily PC orientated franchise, despite past releases on consoles.

Are they actually going to allow expansion packs this time round; or will console gamers be expected to buy the same game over and over again, just to get the original game + X expansions?

i think EA might adopt using the storefronts of the consoles to distribute the expansions this time round its a feasable option for them when you think bout it.Would be a sensible idea for them also it would have a high profit/manufacturing ratio for the fact its using DD.

This gen i think theres a good chance we actually might see a sims game on consoles which is closer to its PC bretherin i dunno why.

If this is a non-gimped port of the actual game, perhaps with some additions even, I might double dip when it comes down in price. All previous console versions have been rubbish.

freezes and crashes when saving. i looked into the matter and it seems like everyone that uses a GT9800 gets the same problem and EA hasn't done a thing about it since the game launched last year.lawlessx

Oh. That happened to me then (8800GTX). Thought it was my PC as usual. I would be upset if my PC hadn't been crashing the game every 20 minutes anyway.

Although it won't be as good as the PC game, I think the console versions could be very fun. I enjoyed Sims 2 on the PS2 so Sims 3 on the consoles could be pretty good.

Yes.

Now whilst in that condition if you made them touch the bug zapper, they would get shocked and the pixelation would go away leaving them fully nude. :o :lol:
