Sure the 360 is the JRPG king now, but that will change when the PS3 gets White Knight Story and FF13. But the 360 should get a most improved star. Because it was alot better than last generation.

I guess by that logic it is the king of next gen jrpg's, but thats more of a statement as to the sory state of jrpg's on next gen consoles more then a testamony to the xbox doing it well.

But I say no. ps3 may not have any next gen titles yet (they came slow for the ps2 as well) but its laundry list of good to great ps2jrpg's that you can play on your ps3 still make it the king.

from the demo i played i refuse to believe it scored an 8.5. but it did and now i am confused cause i thought i could spot a potentially bad game. better go retry the demo.bionicle_lover

That aside I dont think a demo for jrpg's... or almost any rpg,will be a good measure. Not to mention outside of a demo you find totally broken or gameplay that just totally blows.... you cant play a demo and make a comment on the game like you know anything about it.

You can say the demo sucks but thats about it.

I really hate the user reviews for Blue Dragon. You can tell a lot of teenagers and idiot adults played a 50-60 hour game for the first 16-20 hours, then got online to give you an expert opinion on the game.

About the only thing a demo can provide for a game like that is an idea of what it will look like and an intro to the battle system. Until you get the chance to level up and customize your own character and get into the story ( witch usually takes 12+ huors for a jrpg) the only thing a demo will tell you is if the game is totally broken.

its just that the battle system seemed kinda off where they time you and you just move and attack. i think that is pretty much turnbased except they want you to participate some more. it felt like move to enemy then button mash and defend. but perhaps if i rent the game it'd be better. but the demo wasa huge diappointment :( usually demos get me wanting to play the game but if you're going to make a bad demo i dont think the demo should be made.
