Has it been announced yet whether there will be a difference between the three versions aside from controls and graphics?JAB991
Last I heard, Spore is supposed to have some pretty significant online features such as sharing your creatures and planets with other people. Not sure if the Wii or DS versions are going to have that.
the game system requirements are going to be the same as the sims 2, if you can handle that you're pretty much set, and there are no news on the wii version, and the DS version is only the creature phase of the game.luisen123
If that's true then I'm so happy. I really didn't want to play this on Wii.

get a new PC and get the PC Spore... its really the only option if you REALLY want spore. Goten_kingI was gonna say the exact same thing. The console versions of Spore will equal the console versions of The Sims which is pretty much crap compared to the PC version.

Dont' be so certain, noone has confirmed that.
We know next to nothing about Wii-Spore. So, until we get alot more info(and more importantly, utnil we try both) we simply cannot recommend one over the other.

we can assume that pc is the lead platform however. It is very probable that the pc version will be the definitive one. I cant imagine what unique qualities the wii or ds versions could have over the pc versionHere is some news:
Spore exec producer quiet on Spore Wii, talks a bit about Spore Creatures (DS) February 13th, 2008"DS players will be able to share stuff with DS players via local network and Wi-Fi." - Spore Executive Producer, Lucy Bradshaw
(on not discussing the Wii version)"We're worried about bringing out the core version [first]. We're focusing primarily on the PC, Mac, DS and mobile versions of the game right now." - Spore Executive Producer, Lucy Bradshaw
Updated:
A few more Spore details February 12th, 2008Our friends over at Revogamers were nice enough to share some details of Spore on the Wii and DS with us. This info is fresh from the Spanish presentation of Spore.
- the Wii version is in in the design stage right now and the Wii game won't come at launch with PC, MAC and DS versions. There is no date at the moment
- the Wii version will not be the same as the PC
- looking into multi-platform creature sharing
- putting a lot of time into making appropriate games for the appropriate platforms
- looking into downloadable content for all platforms
