Since PS3 is getting a version of steam....what is the difference between Steam and Steamworks?

on steam you can actualy buy games to download and all that, while Steam works I think is just save management and updates and all that.

Steamworks is the ingame Steam lay-over as well as server browser etc.

Example: CSS is on Steam as a game purchasable for download, and uses Steamworks in game for server browsing.
