apart from Alan Wake and some old exclusives like Kameo, do you think that Microsoft's main focus is multiplayer games that have a big replayability when it comes to exclusives?

I dunno about Fable 3, but the biggest exclusives like Halo Reach and Gears of War 3 are an example of upcoming games that will provide hundreds of hours of playtime online.

maybe this is what distinguishes the 360 from both the ps3 and wii, which rely mostly on single player exclusives.

thoughts?

Yeah. Split-screen is also a factor. Playing in the same room as friends is much more fun.

Games like Gears of War, Halo, Lost Odyssey, Fable, Mass Effect, Crackdown, etc.. have great single player campaigns. It's just the multiplayer sticks and lasts a very long time.

yes, it was clear even at the E3, when along with Halo and Gears they also talked about Call of Duty with all the exclusive maps. what's strange is that they didn't even show a footage of Crackdown 2 which seems to rely on the online experience as well.. and game is due next month. that was weird. and Molineux just made a short appearence showing a glimpse of the game.

I just want more co-op games. Not dinky side missions, like MW2. Not just competitive online. Co-op campaign games. There are just too few.

Nah, I haven't found that to be the case at all.

Both consoles have a small amount single player exclusives-.-.The 360 is just better for social gaming.
