The PC version of Skyrim is without a doubt a completely different experience than the console versions. Not only is the vanilla game better with PC hardware, but the incredible modding community on PC has made Skyrim one of the most customizeable and unique experiences gaming has to offer. Along with gameplay mods, character mods, and quest mods, there are hundreds of ways to make the game look incredible.

But we aren't here to talk about that. A number of modders have created a new mod for Skyrim called Falskaar, a completely new expansion and landmass about 1/3 the size of vanilla Skyrim to explore. It has new dungeons, towns, vistas, and sights to see and explore, along with a host of new quests to complete, all hand made by the modding team. The quests are also fully voiced, and feature a host of intersting characters and scenarios. There are new armor sets, books, spells, and even a new dragon shout that the player can accquire. The mod even features it's own soundtrack with a few songs of it's own. Overall this is a fantastic addition to Skyrim that is completely free and just shows what an experience modders and a great community can bring to a game.
