Skyrim is has already won GOTY, just no one knows it yet

1st off I'm NOT going to do the "fanboy" in this thread. This is the real me talking now.

Anyways just from seeing the sheer size and hearing about everything in it, what other game cames close?

Uncharted 3 will be my second favorite and probably the best online this year IMO, but aside from that what else?

I've been playing the elder scrolls since Morrowind and I even played Daggerfall (a monotonus glicth nightmare don't bother) and the elder scrolls has been among my favorite series since. And while some people may not like direction of removing some of the RPG stuff like starting classes and whatnot, it's still an RPG at heart and makes the combat interesting this time around.

The only other thing I really want them to improve on is the AI system which they seem to be doing, oh and add more than 3 voice actors this time!

Oblivion didn't win back in 2005 and good thing it didn't. That game wasn't even good until after modders fixed it on PC. Same thing will happen with Skyrim.

It's not the size that matters, it's how you use it. Really, Bethesda is stupidly overrated, and I've not had any fun in one of their games since Morrowind ages ago. Plenty of contenders. Inconsistancy

I think they make some of the best games out there, only real problem is that their games are always full of bugs and such. I think they are making the right choice because

a) combat should feel like combat, Morrowind combat was a snoozefest and Oblivions was so so at best. Skyrim is doing it right.

b) Skyrim is getting away with alot of the useless skills and combining them to make them better. More skills does NOT mean more fun, especially if half of them are useless.

c)And while you are correct that it's not about the size but how you use it, Bethesda ALWAYS makes their games interesting to explore with plenty of awesome things to do. They are the few companies that get this right BIG world with LOTS to do.

No, it hasn't already won anything. It may win at the end of the year, but it's currently an unreleased game.

AI partners aren't a bad thing I guess. I'll still probably end up doing most of the work. And if Snowblind says I can't monster my way through, then I'll do beyond my best to completely monster my way through.

Let's see if this game will be a real RPG. Oblivion was a fake RPG.. RPG my a**!!! I'm still mad for having a Oblivion GOTY edition. Skyrim won't win GOTY. Bethesda is overrated.

Have 2 big reasons that keep Skyim from easily reaching the top

1. The combat still looks the like ***** compared to other action RPGs like Dark souls.

2. Mods don't go towards a games score or GOTY status. Most Eldar scroll games are meh without mods.

Oh I wasn't confused about RE4. Just seemed like an 04 game but then I remembered WoW won that year. Oblivion was really the only one I forgot the release date on. Could've swore it was 2005 for PC and the 360 version had to be delayed for 2006. Didn't know both got delayed because of it.

For all you know TC, Skyrim will horribly flop and disappoint everyone alive.

If it only does what Oblivion did wiith the graphics upgraded as shown, then it has no chance of winning.

Wow... so much hate on Oblivion and Skyrim... Oh well, I'll just enjoy Skyrim for what it is. Just like I did with Oblivion :D

Knowing Gamespot and how they praised RDR, I wouldn't doubt it.
