Ive spoken to guys working on multiplat games for both systems and its the same thing 360 is liked more for the way it is setup up, PS3 is a pain to program for because the memory is spilt. Simple fact is the ps3 was badly designed.xxmatt125xx
no, not badly designed. devs have been developing for 360 for a year more than the PS3, they just find it easier since they are more used to it.

its fact that MS made the 360 dev kits similar to PC ones. SOny on the other hand gave developers something they had 0 experience with.thats all irrelevant. The "why" doesnt matter. Its the results that are proving my point.multiplats are better cause they are usually develpoped on 360 then ported
MS pays for exclusive DLC
XBL paid sevice>PSN free
it's not sony's fault that devs aren't taking full advantage of their machine.

i would think it is Sony's fault that devs are unable to take advantage of the PS3, because its architecture is too complex and just costs the devs more money when they could spend less time focusing on the 360 version, and make more money.[QUOTE="xxmatt125xx"]Ive spoken to guys working on multiplat games for both systems and its the same thing 360 is liked more for the way it is setup up, PS3 is a pain to program for because the memory is spilt. Couldnt have said it better myself
[QUOTE="bayareahusla"]keep on spending your money on DLC and xbox live im going to spend mine on gamesLem-Risenthats the thing, a 360 owner can do both And a multi console owner like myself can do it all.
Yes because a company selling a product is going to say;
"PS3, exactly the same as the competition".
Good way to make sales.
Ghost, your threads are getting kinda boring now.
Think about it. Sony is marketing the PS3 as "future proof" and the best tech this generation. If thats true.......then why are certain mutliplats slightly favouring the 360? Why is DLC on 360 and not PS3? If PS3 is the best etch, why is its online service #2 and not #1? The 360 IMO is a constant threat to the PS3 image, due to the PS3 marketing claiming to be #1 in everything, when in fact it isnt. Lem-Risen
multiplats are better usually on 360 because the 360 can produce a little bit higher resolution than the ps3 but that difference is unoticable unless u zoom in 2 to 4 times. but the ps3 can have more objects on screen at the same time with more information in the blue ray disk thus when using the ps3 full functions u can make a game that looks much better than any game on 360 like killzone 2 and metal gear solid 4. multiplat have to be the same on both consoles so the ps3 blu ray 50 gb is not utilized that is why games dont look as good on ps3 multiplat.
[QUOTE="TheOldOlder"]Ps home has yet to take off, once it does we'll talk about the PSN and Xbox Live. Regarding the other two, Multiplats no longer suck on the Ps3 for the most part and the average consumer doesnt even notice the difference. As for DLC, the Ps3 doesnt rely on it like the 360 does, sony just makes new games instead of milking the old ones over and overLem-Risenresistence, rachet and clank, motorstorm.............and lets not get into the milkage Sony pulled last gen, which is how "cows" got their name Interesting. Shouldn't it be Wii=Cows, then? Makes sense to me.

Simple fact is the ps3 was badly designed.xxmatt125xxFunny considering the guys like David Jaffe, the uncharted devs naughty dog, killzone devs, burnout devs- criterion, and even call of duty devs infinity ward say that the ps3 has a lot of power and isn't that hard to code for. In fact some say it;s easier to code for and has been easier than the ps2 was to code for.... The only devs that say this are the ones using the unreal engine. as that engine sucks, but its the most popular 360 engie , 360 doesn't even have their own proprietary engines, yet sony 1st party makes new engines all the time. Now it has gotten to the point where ps3 1st party devs can share their engines and spend more time on games.
Slightly better multiplats? Or kickass exclusives like MGS4, or Killzone 2?
LIVE? Albeit better, but that $59.99 could go to... a kickass PS3 exclusive!
DLC? To start, it's stupid anyway... and I'd gladly sacrifice a broken "The Pitt" for the oh so sexy Internet Browser... or Blu Ray player...
fanboy comment of the day complete.

Isn't that M$'s plan? It's working for sure.
Alls fair, Sony is heavily invested in 1st party, and M$ is invested in securing timed exclusives, getting PS3 exclusvies to go multiplat, and Exclusive DLC.
It seems to be working much better.
Maybe, if we are lucky, next generation, NINTENDO and SONY can dump their 1st and 2nd Parties, and also secure Timed Exclusives and Exclusive DLC...should make the war more interesting.
The only cost? Eh, some 1st and 2nd Party games, but whatever.

Eh why the hell should 3rd parties invest more time, money and manpower into developing a game on teh PS3 ,just because through no fault of their own, Sony decided,in all their arrogance,to implement a new and complicated architecture in its console? Without even consulting many major dev studios!!!
Its Sony who should be taking up the slack and actually help 3rd parties get to grips with teh PS3.
Seriously cows are just as arrogant as Sony once was.
