Slim PS3 This Year?

The guys at T3 are saying one of their inside men has heard word that Sony will be producing a slimmer, sexier PS3 heading for the shelves this autumn. Gizmodo

lol Fake Pics FTW. Dude Don't expect a slim PS3 till atleast 2010. The slim version of PS1 &2 were not released till 4 years after the console release and the same thing will happen with the PS3, I have no doubt in my mind that there will be a slim PS3 but not this soon.Swift_Boss_A

Personally I don't like the look of it. I think the black original ps3 is a beautiful piece of electronics. In regard to the topic of a slim ps3, unless you don't have a lot of space or the hardware was changed significantly, I don't see the importance of a smaller console.

Why would you need a down-sized PS3? Unless you absolutely will suffocate in your house if someone puts a PS3 there, I doubt it's neccasary. The only game systems that should get slimmer are handhelds. VanHelsingBoA64

Whichever PS3 has the most BC when I decide to buy a PS3 is the one I will get. Big or small.

I was referring to the Wii mushed on there comment. It made me lol to think of Sony as sticking a Wii onto the PS3.

Whichever PS3 has the most BC when I decide to buy a PS3 is the one I will get. Big or small.

haha laughing at all the people that said fake, cause they didnt even read the post. And if the PS3 Slim came out this year, PS3 sales would be crazy. One reason the PS3 isnt more popular is because of how huge it is.xXHackettXx

I think people missed the point in the slim PS2, it didn't just sell because it was smaller the main reason was because it was so damn cheap by then and had a killer line up. The PS3 does not fill either of those requirements just yet so just wait I guess.

PS: I actually like the design lol and would buy it :shock:.
