o yea that was it lol, i forgot that one, it's crazy how many are scheduled to come out i mean is this a record breaking number of game tie in movies to ever come out, i know we've had a few but i can't remember a time when there were so many movies being green lit at the same time for games.
Not cel shaded? F*ck that. Sorry but the charm of the whole series is in that "noir-ish" cartoony feel, which is achieved with cel shaded graphics/animation. Full 3D will just look creepy as f*ck.

I still havent beaten Thieves in Time yet, now that I think of it. I forgot I even owned that game lol. Hasnt crossed my mind to attempt to put it in my PS3 in at least 7-8 months. I really need to finish that game.

Metal Gear, Mass Effect, Uncharted and other games made to movies are in Limbo. Hell nobody knows anything about the so called Halo movie that Peter Jackson was suppose to direct. The only ones we know about for sure are those three
Ratchet and Clank, Heavnly Sword and now Sly Cooper? YES! looking forward to watching all of them at theaters and hopefully we'll get to see even more games for these franchises.
So the video game series is cell shaded to make it look like a cartoon and the movie goes for a realistic look? I think that's a bad decision especially given how stylish the sly series is. This just looks weird and unsettling.
Chances are I will see it, but wow I not a fan of the looks. I can compare Heavenly Sword and Ratchet and Clank movie to their games style wise, but this? Just looks bad, even kind of creepy, and lost that nice charm the series has with its style.

To me this is Nice news as I've always enjoyed the Sly universe...it's slated for 2016 though, it's going to be awhile. This is a very, very early announcement, so nothing is final in that build, although it looks like it could be a charming, fun film. It's really going to need to amp up the comedy, but I hope they do it right. This reminds me of Dreamworks and Pixar's efforts of late in the animated movie arena...but even Pixar has been letting me down when it comes to comedy as Brave just wasn't that funny. Back on track, for this Sony Sly animated project to be successful and since they have until 2016, they have plenty of time to get this right, but god knows if they can.
I remember reading about this Sly animated project last year, but it was just some headline along with a few other Sony game IPs.
This movie will do well if it's a great standalone movie that doesn't require gamers to watch it and if it's hilarious, I'm on board. I'm not sure it will be able to pull it off, I'm a harsh critic, but I'll give them a shot.
I'm surprised this is NOT going to be straight to Blu-Ray like the DC animated movies. They are planning a film release which is ambitious.
