So 8.0 apparently means abysmal now?

I'm tired of all of these people yelling "OH SCRIBBLENAUTS FLOPPED" just because it got an 8.0 and not a 9.0. Since when does flopping automatically make the game bad?

Yes, some people were hyping AAAAE. But you must remember that most people were hyping it at AAA. So since it got an 8.0, it apparently means it's bad just because it didn't quite lived up to most people's expectations? Last time I checked, 8 means "Great". So what's the deal? Are cows this steamed that Scribblenauts won E3 and Uncharted 2 didn't?

Them saying it flopped doesn't mean they're saying it's bad, they're just saying it didn't get the hyped score.

Why should Scribblenauts get a free pass? Every game that has flopped gets it's 24 hours of fame on System Wars. Maybe you guys shouldn't have hyped this game up.

PS: Yes, by SW rules 8.0 is unplayable. 8.5 is abysmal, that is of course unless the game is on your system.

It dosn't make the game bad, it just meant that people who severly overhyped the game self owned themselves. This is about predictions and putting weight on certain titles. As Scribblenaughts failed to meet expectations that leaves whoever hyped the game in a seriously bad position. To say otherwise is damage control.

Yeah pretty much what everyone else said. That's not a bad score at all but for the last few weeks all I've seen were people claiming it would be GOTY and hyping it to high hell and it fell way below their expectations. Thus it FLOPPED. And the reason so many people are discussing its floppage is because we all had to be annoyed by those fanboys screaming "SCRIBBLENAUTS IS TEH GAME OF THE YEAR!!!111" for so long and they were WRONG. And the beauty of SW is when you're wrong about something like that you will pay for it dearly..

There you go, this is how it is. If a game flops it does not mean in no way that it is bad, it means it was hyped, but failed to reach that level. Uncharted 1 was a flop, but still an amazing game.

Yes, because a "flop" is completely relative to a game's quality. If a game is hyped AAA and scores AA, it is a flop, plain and simple. That in no way means "bad." I don't know how you can even imply that.
