so, after this E3, are we still criticizing Pc gaming?

Many people laughed at Pc for not having any worthy exclusives and glorified the consoles for having a tremendous amazing 2010.

Well, not really, unless you like Move and Kinect, of course. they are becoming the NEW EXCLUSIVES. peripherals, not games. how sad.

so, is Pc really in a bad situation compared to consoles after all? I don't really think so.

thoughts?

.....what? imho the PC is without exception the finest gaming platform on the planet. always will be...no exceptions. but if were just going by E3 here then it looks like the PC is dead and buried. not one exclsuive mentioned, no one spending millions marketing it....no PC section on the floor.....dead. of course its not dead..its ticking along nicely. goign by E3 i think consoles and handhelds are in for some very interesting times. move and kinetic look great (i just dont like the kinetic games announced at the mo...i still think its a great idea). nintendo alone had many crackin exclusives coming out that personally, as mainly a PC gamer, im really looking forward to (kirby was the best game i saw at E3..it looks bonkers..great with beer :P. i havent seen shogun 2 at e3 though...though would be my game of the show if it was there). the 3DS also sounds really awesome. if nitny release that for 199.99 then its going to be brilliant. im not sure what the problem here is. i will continue to remain mainly a PC gamer but E3 certainly hasnt put me off consoles for life or anything.

Anybody who suggests that PC gaming is, at any point in time, inferior to console gaming obviously has no idea what he or she is talking about.

If anything PC gaming is chugging along consistently, not having to worry about industry trends in the console realm. Which is why games like Civilisation 5 and Shogun Total War 2 exist on the platform.

The PC never was in a bad situation, dont let the SW console propoganda fool you.

Its cool anyway, we'll all be full PC gamers by 2015 anyway.

No one ever spends money on PC during E3.. which is why I don't really enjoy it much, I prefer gamescom by a mile.

I stopped gaming on my PC a while ago, so I didn't really notice if they announced any PC exclusives.

the point is that the companies are investing less money on exclusive high-budget games, resulting in a handful of big exclusives each year. but they are investing on "new ways to play", read - they're looking to expand into the casual market.

Now, gamers who are not interested in the peripherals and in either of the few exclusive titles don't really need a console, unless they prefer to game on it for whatever reason.

Pc games ( not only exclusives ) don't benefit from all the advertisement that happen on the consoles, but it's still strong, although people keep saying it's a dying platform. Steam is growing, that's gotta count for something.
