Heck yea? I was one of my favorites I owned it for DS and PS2.
There are good Spiderman games. Several actually. There are more quality Spiderman games than any other superhero franchise. It wasn't until Arkham Asylum that Spiderman(take your pick which one. There were quite a few good ones) was finally dethroned as the king of superhero games.>>>>>implying there are good Spiderman games.

You'd be hard pressed to think of any action adventure game that's better than Arkham Asylum let alone Arkham City (sounds like it trumps the first in every way).
Batman: AA is better than any comic game ever made. Batman AC is even better than AA, according to reviewers. I think I'll agree.
Hell yes. No other superhero game will ever top my experience with the original Spiderman on PS1. I remember being so blown away by the fact that you could actually web swing. Oh to be young again.I remember a spiderman game on PSX. It was pretty amazing!

Spiderman 2 was tons of fun.
But other than that yeah it's definitely better, hell it's better than 2, but that game was fun so I don't want to choose both. :P
the only good spiderman game i remember playing was spiderman the movie 2, so yea TC's statement is true for me.
Chances are there will never be a good one again since treyarch turned into what they are today.
In Spidey's defence, developers have been dishing out quality games featuring him since all the way back in the PSX days. Up until AA, all the other Batman games were abysmal. I think Spiderman deserves a little more respect since his games have atleast been consistently good over the decades (well, until recently it seems).Master_ShakeXXXBatman on NES and Batman Returns on SNES were good games.
Laughed at superheros when i was 8, now i just ignore anything that has to do with SH. Batman AC is the best i guess but its not like there's any competition.silversix_What's wrong with superheroes? They're pretty much a perfect gaming character ready made, they have powers, they have stories, they have crazy villains, it's just the games tend to always be licensed tat which means they get rushed and have almost no effort put into them. When effort does get put in or the games are made seperately and not to tie in with any film (like Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Ultimate Spiderman and Batman AA/AC) they can turn out to be great.

They were all ok at best. The only thing helping those games out were that in comparision pretty much most of all the superhero games that were coming out were absolute garbage. I liked the PS1 Spiderman game but it in no way holds a candle to AA. And all of the rest of the Spidey games after that were just mediocre.
I will give props to the Nior Spiderman in that last game and I did like that Hulk game a few years back . The one by the Prototype guys.
Outside of the inFamous series, which isn't licenced, there has never been a superhero game that matched the quality of Batman:AA.
Batman anything is better than any other hero around. Batman Games are the best! Batman Movies are the best. Batman Comics are the best. You cant go wrong with Batman...

yah but Maximum Carnage and Spiderman vs The Kingpin were actually better than those Batman games.
also, Ultimate Spiderman and Spiderman 2 were actually good games. Spidey 2 actually earned 90+ scores.

Clearly, they aren't bald enough or space-marineish enough to be consideredgreat characters.
Batman: Arkham Asylum was awesome, but I enjoyed Spider-Man more. It hit all the sweetspots for me like having some nice easter eggs, cool unlockables, good boss fights (with a new character introduced), and fun gameplay. I liked swinging around & sticking to the ceiling, and the combat was pretty fun. The only thing Batman AA was lacking in was the boss fights, imo. They were poor for the most part.
As for the topic, guess I'll find it out on Tuesday. So excited.
