So can SW agree on an elite 5 in terms of graphics?

We have elite devs, elite games, elite everything but it seems when it comes to graphics we only have specific 'kings' (e.g. jacket king, lighting king etc.. all ridiculous...)

But what would you say about these being the best looking games on any platform:

1. Crysis
2. Metro 2033
3. Shogun II: Total War
4. The Witcher 2

5. Arma II

This is considering everything technical. Scale counts. AI on screen counts. View distance counts. Etc...

I was going to add pics but I remember how every one complains no matter what pictures I select. I either I'll pick "crappy pic makes game look worse" or "lulz bullshot" so all I can say his please refer to

I said right games in wrong order, although Some games I find to be very close or even better than a couple of those, BUT those being on PC makes them win.

Objectively they look amazing, but what he means is that SW will never universally agree on such a list. Which is quite true. :P

Uncharted 2 is the greatest looking game imho.

It looks better than modded Crysis imho.

lol you be trollin :P. I honestly enjoyed the visuals of Uncharted 2 more, but Crysis is the technically more impressive game obviously.

The problem is that a game that looks a bit worse than another game, but is on a PC, trumps the other game many times. So games like Uncharted 2 get left behind because PC is so amazing it makes games look like gold :P.

imo, sony has the best graphics games out there imo. i play crysis maxed out on my $4000 rig & it cant even compete with mw2 (on ps3 of course lol not the 360) watever sony does they make, believe.

I don't think we could ever agree upon a definitive list. The standards are just too variable. For example, Metro 2033 looks better than Arma II and is therefore higher on the list. However, Arma II is arguably more impressive from a technical point of view, seeing as it provides a wide open world whereas Metro 2033 mostly consists of very confined areas.

It's very hard to decide which game has better graphics, as game A might look better but game B might have much more AI on screen and such. Mirror's Edge, for example, is not really a technical marvel, but it is one of the most consistently good-looking games I've played to date. It just looks fantastic from start to finish, bar maybe some simplistic character models. Arma II on the other hand, can look better than Crysis or worse than Battlefield 2 depending on where you're looking.

So yeah, the discussion has too many angles and interpretations, but I think that most people will at least agree that it's a solid list you've provided.

Lol I just understood the Pokemon reference in the title. (At least I think it's Pokemon.)

Just looking at it from a technical standpoint, I see nothing wrong with those choices.
