What are your sources? IGN, Gamespot and even Blizzard's own advertisement for it show it as only available for PC, Mac, PS3 and PS4.

For right now, that's what we know.
Time may reveal more platforms.
Besides PC, Blizzard did release ports to consoles in the past, but didn't conform to the industry platform agnostic strategy.
Diablo did release for only the playstation, and Starcraft did come out only for the N64. I believe there was bidding involved. Perhaps that happened again, or maybe a more contemporary Blizzard has plans for Wii U or 720 and haven't yet revealed them.
All I can confirm today on May 1st, 2013 is that the game is slated for the PS3 and PS4 so far.
Diablo's a graphically demanding game, Neither the WiiU or Xbox are capable of displaying such visuals atm. Give Blizzard a year or 2 after they release it on the PS4, and they'll figure out a way to make it work on those consoles. They're extremely talented devs.

I have two copies of that game as I have a LAN network at home, at ultra max settings that game doesn't even look that good on PC.
I would never use a Blizzard game to showcase any of my new GPUs from Nvidia or AMD (I support both). Blizzard have nice art styIes, they are competent, and the particle effects are nice, but it's a meh looking game in comparison to other games.
It's an isometric dungeon crawler...there isn't much to the graphics.
it's good to see that diablo 3 will branch out from dissappointing pc gamers to dissappointing console gamers.
that's why current consoles are so amazing.
back in the day this game could only have dissappointed pc gamers but now with new amazing technology it can dissappoint everyone.
it used to be only a pc guy could buy this game, play it a week and never look at it again.
now.... everyone can have the thrill of pissing away fifty bucks on some crap.
I'm assuming it's because Sony has been a lot more open with PSN and it's infrastructure as of late that allow Blizzard to perhaps do some thing with the console version of Diablo 3 that they can't do with the 360 and WiiU versions. Just my guess.AcidSoldnerExcellent, that wraps that up. didn't feel like posting but you wrote my exact thoughts.

The PC version looked hideous compared to other PC games. Meh. Low resolution, still screenshots of early build games are such a waste of time to analyze.
The Diablo 3 console port is not done so I'll be the judge of how bad it looks when it's finally complete. I refrain from knocking down games graphics before they release, I don't mind after the game is complete, including ports.
It will ether be as hideous as the PC version, or even worse. That's how it will be to me. Maybe I will have a new appreciation of Diablo 3's PC graphics after I see the completed console port.
Have at it though.

Have at what? Look at starcraft n64 vs pc. Expect similar results.

Look at it? I own both of those games on PC and N64. I know the results.
I grew up on PC RTS, but I am a collector as well. I also played it long before it ever existed on N64, same for Diablo. Ironically, my copies of Diablo PSOne and Starcraft N64 are worth a lot more money than my PC copies of Diablo and Starcraft.
It doesn't change my stance in the slightest. I'm not arguing that the console versions are going to be better or equal, so you can take that to someone else.
I don't judge early shots of games. I don't expect much because Diablo 3 was already an ugly mamaat the highest settings. The type of game it is isn't graphically demanding.
People will put up with a lower resolution and effects to get rid of the DRM and play co op on the same machine.
Metzen on stage said they are in a patnership, i guess Sony paid for it to be exclusive, or it's timed exclusive to PS3, meaning if it sells well on PS3, they will port it to Xbox later on
it will probably sell poorly on PS3 but sell well on PS4, since it will be a launch title for PS4, i could see it selling quite well, no competition

Hyperbole, in fact most reviews praise the visiuals. Graphically demanding doesn't =ugly.

The drm is what keeps hackers out. Look at the practically unplayable state of torchlight 2 online with people you don't know, having all the stats of your character changed because someone in the game you joined was running some kind of trainer.

Blizzard would never agree to Microsoft's ridiculous online terms.

Considering the game itself requires always online even to play a single player, they actually might be perfect for each other :)
Console version gets offline mode as well as several other bullsh!t features they kept from PC.

This is the correct answer. :P
Plus, collectors duh. ;)
"Nobody cares" and "Who gives a shit" were the hardcore hermit responses to the old console versions being worth money, OMG!

I hope for your sanity you never had to call Blizzard due being locked out of your game for doing nothing. The amount of spam I get when I log into Diablo 3 is another problem, and I feel for those that have been hacked.
I said way more than I wanted, so I'm outie.
Peace be with you.
