So, did the hype for NATAL die?

I no longer see threads being created about NATAL and im wondering did everyone come to their senses that NATAL really is a dud?

Considering the list of 360 upcoming exclusives announced .... NATAL is still going to get hyped quite a bit. Talking about a handful of exclusive upcoming games over and over can only go so far.

by hype i guess you mean the 95% of the 360 guys here that say every time natal is brought up "omg! who cares, it looks lame"

i'll try it but not prolly not for games so much as i think that for me personally it would be cool to navigate dvd and xbl menus just by waving your hands

my only hype for it in the first place at all was the fact that Rare (my favorite developer) is working on it.

Well for one PS3 already has the Playstation Eye, witch isnt exactly stellar, and Wii isnt exactly shoving the way forward for harcore gaming with motion controll... So the PS Wand/Ball on Stick/Whatever and NATAL arenty exactly top priority in the minds of nonfanboys :D

There was never any hype to begin with. Natal announced a gimmick, it will start a gimmick, and it will end a gimmick.

MS just wanted to introduce the idea at E3. And it was a success, because Natal was on every talk show the next night!

When there is something to actually talk about you'll see it. Currently there is no point to it except to make silly generaliztions that it will either suck or destroy the gaming industry.There is enough closeminded nonsense in here why invite more?

I'm actually very hyped for it. i'm really curious to see what kind of new experiences it'll deliver

I truly think that NATAL sales will be poor. It's been done in a smaller way with the EyeToy. We'll have to see though.

According to an article I read a while ago, and to the Project's Wikipedia page, Natal was named after the Brazilian city of the same name. It was a homage of one of Microsoft's directors to his country of origin. :)
