I agree.
I do feel as though NG2 is MUCH a better game than it's prequel. I just don't get why people dont think so. It's faster, more bad***, and has great level design.
My only one problem with the game is the framerate at that staircase (you know what Im talking about if you played it). Besides that, there's really nothing wrong with it and everything just feels right.
I can't stress it anymore- NG2 is better than NG1/ NGS. So much more fluid and really fun.
And I've played practically all of them. Heavenly Sword had great presentation and high production values but at it's core the gameplay mechanics are very weak. No More Heroes was a lot of fun but the difficulty left something to be desired. Had great audio though. DMC4 featured way too much back tracking and kind of felt half baked. Seriously, NG2 is the best action game so far this generation. The combat is fluid and responsive and aside from a few camera control issues the controls are spot on. It's probably a little too difficult for most gamers and I'm sure that generates a lot of hate.TekkenMaster606
that's kind of stuck up.
urm...NG2 felt very cheap imo,NGS i think is betterSony-tha-champ0
yes..but NGS is a shiny port with some extras

Not really. Not so much on the first level of difficulty, but besides that, all around, NG2 is harder than NG1, and already very hard game. I'd like to see you play NG2 on Mentor difficulty
Heck, I'd like to see you honestly say you can get past the last boss on normal even, i doubt most can to be honest.

hmm.....what about uncharted ,or DMC?I have to disagree, seeing as NG2 didnt live up to NG which I found lacking says alot to me. NG games have very poor stories and little character development. The only saving grace for their games is their gameplay which I personally have never found that exceptional. You have cheap enemies that increase the difficulty.
i personally enjoyed HS and DMC4 alot more then any of the NGs. HS only flaw was that it was short, as for NG being more technical, when I played NGS the cheap enemies just forced me to do alot of bouncing off the walls with a jumping slash. I wouldnt say that was more technical.
HS had great gameplay and character development, with a very entertaining story and set of characters. DMC 4 was another great over the top action game. I loved the over the top cinematics and the nero Boss grab moves. I do agree backtracking kind of sucks but then again with a new character and improved enemies it kept it pretty fresh.
Oh yea and NMH sucked IMO big time. It had great Boss fights but man did they put you through repetitive tourture to earn the right to get a boss fight. I counldnt stomache it to bother finishing it. I just wished if they were gonna spend so little time on enemy and mission variety (assasination wise, not mini game style wise) that they should have just done it SOTC style and let you fight only Bosses.

hmm.....what about uncharted ,or DMC? hey whatever man;)imo NG2 is the best action/adventure game so far
uncharted is not really the same btw. NG = hacking and slashing (beat em up) uncharted is a 3rd person shooter
But on a serious level- how can you actually like NGS more than NG2?
It just doesn't make sense imo.
Unless you really hated that rolling boss in those caves >.>
The weakest level in the game though, all around, is probably the first level. Best level is the last couple (which really seem like one HUGE one).

I agree, NG2 is a tad bit harder in my experience. I beat NGB on Master Ninja but I'm having a hard time with NG2 on mentor. The bosses in 2 are kinda cheap tho. NGB's bosses were more of a challenge imo

my little brother did, and I am better at NG than he is. I just don't like NG2 enough to play it.

What boss is cheap exactly? Chances are you just don't realize a technique.
Im not seeing it. I'd understand if you said something like the horseman in NG1 because of the sucky bow (fixed in sigma) or the dragons but NG2? What are you getting at? Or do you mean the 102 bosses at the end of the game?
NG1 was a bit more cheap imo. And one more thing to remember- the guys only grab you and suicide/ chainsaw if you aren't moving/ button smashing
yup. until god of war 3 that ismephisto_11Yeah, I can't wait till God of War 3. Its guaranteed to be awesome already. Its picking up from GoW2, and the 1st two installments were awesome. GoW 3 is already bound for epic win. Detailed deaths, bloody gore, and all of its God of War goodness in HD. I can't wait
Um, no, Ninja Gaiden 2 is an unsightly disgrace compared to its prequel. I would also love to hear how anyone can say it's a harder game than the original, seeing as how every save point regenerates your health and you have that health recovery system at the end of each skirmish in the sequel. The first one was way harder on you, and was a MUCH better game. The enemies were way more fun to fight, the boss battles were much more engrossing, and the environments were a lot less boring than they are in NG2. Heavenly Sword DESTROYES Ninja Gaiden 2 in every single way. Gameplay, presentation, everything. I was incredibly disappointed with Ninja Gaiden 2.

1. Is this a joke? By comparison, NG2's enemies can pretty much single handedly take down much more health than the pretty much gunmen of the first.
2. Uhh... it was pretty much one environment throughout and some generic lava fields/ etc.

The original game started in the village, moved to the airship, then went into the ruins field. It basically stayed there. There was a cavern, a, I guess you'd call train depot, a lava area, the church, and then that's really it. How can you say it wasn't pretty much one environment? Everything was that bluish grey color.
NG2 has the village, an airship, some crazy fields, the demon caverns, venice, new york city, empire state building, and basically defining stages.

Very convenient omission of the actual Vigoorian city you spent a huge chunk of your time in, as well as the aqueducts and that weird and creepy place that lead up to the last boss fight with all the huge bones faling down on you. The original had way better environments, though it sounds to me like you're trying to argue that NG2 had MORE environments, which isn't something I was arguing in the first place. I could care less about NG2's variety if what's there is pretty damn boring and uninspired.
you got me all wrong man. Yes NG2 is a tad bit harder overall, but the bosses are easy. The boss in the tunnel you mentioned and the very last one required a different strategy. (shurikens & arrows)
What's laughable about technique? That electric boss in the tunnels makes you use you shuriken and lancer like crazy. Use the dragon sword and you're toast. But if you found the bosses in two easy, then good for you, I didn't, at all. The ending boss gives me a heart attack. Alma and Doku were easy for me.

All the other bosses are simple even on mentor so far. just grab your dragon sword or scythe once you unlocked it and start slashing. One combo does MASSIVE DAMAGE. (though I havent finished it on mentor yet so my opinion might change)
