well... a few newer one I can recommend is:

-Vampire the masquerade: Bloodlines (with patch)

-Neverwinter nights (2) (both are good but the first one is an oldie)

- Kotor (2) I am not really a star wars person, but I will acknowlage, that the game mechanics are good in this one.

they are alittle on the light side for me, but you might like them ^^

and as a sidenote: Games like Diablo should simply go by the term "hack and Slash" since they really have nothing in them that make them even remote cousins to RPG, apart from stats. Just my rant ;)

King's bounty ? never heard of it, usually i know some good RPG gamse, but i never heard of king's bounty. I hope it's not 1990 games.

My friend mention Baldur's gate(i never played it), he said it's the greatest RPG ever, but for me it's too "medieval" today's game. maybe ten years ago i would enjoy it. But with today's graphics i just can't play it anymore.

Star wars KOTOR II i don't liked it, i played it to the end but i don't liked it, right now the best RPG i think are 1.witcher(first place) 2.fallout 3(second, because very similar to oblivion, i think the raising stair at vault 101 it's the same stair they used in oblivion for the gray thief guy mission, the one that you must used arrow at the heart of a statue to get it open, i'm sure anyone who played oblivion will agree with me).

i'm kinda interested at buying vampire masquide blood(i can't remember the name) but i'm afraid i'm getting fooled by gamespot stupid review, i mean come on 7,5 for TWO WORLD, i mean.. my gosh that game deserve a 2,0 .

the game has TONS of side quests most of which have multiple endings along with multiple endings for the main storyline, so depending on how much time you put into games you could get plenty of hours put into the game over the course of multiple play throughs

the melee isnt that bad but that depends on the clan you pick because some are MUCH better at melee than others.

PC has some great RPG's, PS3 doesn't have many, but it has some fantastic games.

or maybe for them a deep gameplay and good story/interesting characters etc are much more important than shiny stuff and a gameplay where you just blow and shoot stuff

I like stats building (str, agility, bla bla bla) but neverwinter is too complicated, with the dice (i don't understand what 1d6 mean in my dagger, i assume 6 is the max damage and 1 is the minimal damage). Too complicated for most people taste.

EDIT: After seeing more of your posts, you want ARPG. And I rarely play those.

I'm thinking of buying a PS3 and change my nickname to holy ps3 but after thinking for about 1 minutes i can't find GOOD games to play except MGS 4, FFXIII:VERSUS(which is still very long time to wait), and.. that's the game i want to play that is exclusive to PS3 that's availaible. other game are crap. Killzone 2 is overhype, my friend says that MGS 4 is more like watching a movie rather than playing game. There's almost no good RPG for PS3 right now.

Diablo 2 was released in 2000,Diablo 2 LoD was released in 2001.

Theres also a search function on this site from what I hear, just go under PC and look up RPGs!!!
