So for those who consider themselves Final Fantasy fans...

I'm just wondering what your favorite three games are in the series. I just want to see which are the most popular games in the series out of interest.

Mine (all imo of course):

1. Final Fantasy IV (An outstanding achievement in both gameplay and storyline factors. Introduced the ATB system, up to 5 characters per battle, battle positions, one of the first truly outstanding JRPG stories etc)

2. Final Fantasy VI (Not as revolutionary as IV, but it felt like a perfection of what IV had done. Excellent gameplay all in all with deep customisation options and an excellent story and cast of characters)

3. Final Fantasy XII (A fabulous introduction to many new gameplay mechanics, such as the gambit system and the real time battles which made the series feel very fresh again, while adding a new layer of depth to battles)

I though 12 was a pathetic excuse for a game, let alone a final fantasy.

Are they paying to say this?

It's really hard for me to say which ones i like the most, but FFVIII is my favourite and i think FFIX and X are my other favourites. That being said i've yet to play a Final fantasy game within the main series that hasn't been a totally unforgettable experience.

I'd also like to give a special mention to IV, V and VII.

i wouldnt consider Mistwalker setting the same standards of Phantasy Star series

I am definantly going to play Blue Dragon and Lost Oddessy in the future when i can buy a 360..

Im sorry but apart where it stole the legend of Dragoon gameplay, id say its what Legend of Dragoon the sequal should be.

Final Fantasy XII was awesome since it brought me to the rpg world. Im definantly playing it since i cant wait for Final fantasy XIII any longer..

I know what you mean.

Darkcloud 2 and Rouge Galaxy made Level-5 one of the best battlesystem makers, although they are not good at story.

Final Fantasy series had always given me both of those in one game that is replayable.
