So, Game Informer reviews Lair

They gave it a 7.25 and 8.0--so Lemmings, this is probably better than you wanted, right?

So they aren't too hard on games and Twilight Princess was definatley up there, At least AAA so

Somehow, I think with all the 7s Lair and Heavenly Sword is getting, all the cows are going to redefine the term "AA". After the next couple of weeks, 7 will be the new 8.-JayWong-

I agree. Somehow the cows were universally able to avoid ownage when Resistance flopped and I have a feeling the same will happen this year.

Please dont generalize us like that,I dont generalize other fanboys.Bioshock did not flop,Lair was crap to me since I dont like dragon games unless its drakengard.

Is it a problem for them to like a game a lot and rate it accordingly? Considering reviews are just opinions..

I love how a lot of people try to say one source is less credible than the other when in the end they're all just opinions ...

HAHAHA, did you even READ the reviews....GS was the only site that gave it under 9....it DID NOT FLOP...and WAS AAA

Heavenly Sword won't be AA and Lair won't be CLOSE to AAA and Warhawk will be lucky with an A

WATTTT THOSE ARE GOOD FOR GAMEINFORMER??!!!! If there was a converter to gamespot it would ge llike a 6 or 5.5, they give 10's to all the big titles: Bioshock, Halo 2 GTA etc

People still refer to crackdown and motorstorm as being good games and they are A. What you are talking about is games that arer hyped and fail to meet their hype (which both of those games did). They are bashed for not meeting hyp not for being bad.

I think you'll find the only AAA games that takes a significant bashing regularly are Halo and Halo 2.

Giving a 10 to Twilight Princess doesn't make them less credible. Just says they're easy on scores, that would mean Lair could get a lower score.

resistance got an 8.6 here. How is that a flop. especially for a launch title. many believed it should have gotten a higher score

Err just wondering, what site, besides IGN UK, gave Heavenly Sword a 7? You said "all the" which would imply multiple amounts of 7s, probably more than 3 but all I've seen is 1...

flop on GS. If you think the GS is the end all be all of reviews for a game you've been on SW to long, its fun to use just GS reviews for SW but thats about it. over all its rated better than any other game this year except bioshock, opinion of many>>>>opinion of one.

Man, I knew that I should have bookmarked all of those AAA-hype forum threads back when cows were touting the graphics and saying that the game looked better than Gears... Oh well...

Yes - are you talking about the EGM review? They just ripped on the game pretty hard. The funny thing, imo, is how Factor 5 used sixaxis entirely for the control of the dragons. Do any of you think that Sony put pressure on them to do this? You'd think so since the game is a 2nd party game. These guys making the game are gamers too and you would THINK that they would realize that the controls just didn't work - wouldn't you???

Something else had to be behind the decision to go 100% with sixaxis.
